Ouch, looks like they all had their own incidents, the first six cars just spun as they went into the corner without being anywhere near anyone else and they all just ended up in the same pile.

New pitstop rules seem daft. 0.15 delay etc..

It would be easier if they just said a pitstop can't be less than 5 seconds or some other arbitrary number, that builds in plenty of margin. Given it's a good 2.5s slower than most teams do now, it would stop teams spending on speeding them up too.

What you lose then though is some teams doing stops quicker than others.

Something about a 0.15 delay after the wheels are on before the car can be dropped, and 0.2 before the lights go green. It was kind of brushed over, so the details might be ever-so-slightly different.

Latest I found about the new rules was

Certain actions in the pitstop are no longer allowed to happen quicker than 0.15 seconds, while the minimum time between the wheel guns being released from the wheels and the traffic light on the gantry turning to green is now 0.2 seconds.

Mercedes seem to be struggling for pace right now.

I think they have setup for low downforce, which is why they seem to be fast in the first sector but then losing time in the 2nd sector. Whereas RB are setup for high downforce and clawing the time back in 2nd and 3rd sectors. Merc now on their 3rd set of inters.
