Shame but the right call. Someone could bin it at top of Eau Rouge or Kemmel (or anywhere else), car behind can’t see. Hubert sort of crash in the making.

Different drivers, different skills not comparable at all.

How do you think Carlos Sainz's dad would cope in a modern F1 car?

How do you think Hiroshi Masuoka (2 paris Dakar rally outright victories, 25 stage wins) would cope in F1?

Not comparable in any way whatsoever, and just goes to prove your complete lack of knowledge on the different skills needed in different scenarios.


Every single F1 driver on that grid today would be perfectly happy to go out and drive the race if they were only ones on the track at the time, same as rally drivers almost never come up against others and almost never have to run alongside or directly behind others.

It is purely the fact that everyone on the grid except whoever is on pole, will see absolutely nothing in front of them, maybe in fact, not even able to see their own front wheels because of the spray caused.

That is why there is no racing.

Anyone who cannot understand that, has zero real interest or passion for motorsport, and possibly almost zero respect for the drivers and their safety.
