Belgium Grand Prix 2010, Spa-Francorchamps Circuit - Race 13/19

I don't know why, but that wet track looks awesome! (from Spie's pic)

Can't wait for practice later, hopefully we see the pace of the RB's and some dry running. Alonso looks strong, but I wonder if he can carry that pace into qualifying and the race.

The last few weeks have been torture, cant wait for the qualifying tomorrow and the race on Sunday.

Enjoy everyone !

PS;

Spie, I am so so jealous.

I am hoping to attend my first F1 race next year with my Girlfriend.

You really are getting the full experience, 3 days, hospitality and drivers staying in your hotel, have a great time !

Just finished the 8am pit lane walk and pit stop practice. Significantly Ferrari kept both their cars in the garage suggesting they want to keep new features away from the public eye. Red Bull told me not to take pictures of the back of their car! I only had my 70-200 fitted. If I'd had the 300F2.8 on they would have been really twitchy. Don't think the "Guest of Ferrari" badge I was wearing helped :D

Im thinking about going to Monza - I cant really afford to but sometimes you just gotta do it anyway lol

Would be my 3rd race after 1st Indy race and Aus 2008

Surely this second test shows something the FIA have picked up on with the floors of the cars giving gains? So surely Mclaren will have started looking at this area for ideas.. should the red bulls pass the next improved test at Monza ;)

Surely to wait until after Monza would be too late for McLaren - given the remaining races are all fly-away (so less time to manufacture/ ship and test) no one can do anything major after Monza (little tweaks here and there sure)?

a lot of the top teams are expected to do a major upgrade for Monza and I would have thought that would be the last one (although if something doesnt work as expected I guess they could refabricate slightly different design for next race)

RBR must be within the grey areas of the rules (after all one rule states that at no time can front wing be lower than x amount - and clearly during races the wing is much lower) - but its totally the FIA's fault for not testing in the right way to start with/not enforcing the rules firmly enough (because they NEVER do that of course)

Spie you should have got one of those mini keyring cams and took a video of the RB :D

Sounds like your having fun. Keep the updates coming please.

Great to see a drier track. Now we shall get to see just how fast these cars are.

RBR are now in with a great shot at pole.

Here comes the rain.
Webber will finish this session as No.1.

It now looks like qualifying will be held in wet or damp conditions, so we may get a very topsy turvy grid.

There is a good chance that for the first time this year, we will not see an RBR car on the front row.
