The bias against Hamilton is just hilarious.
Meh, karmic balance for the bias
for him being so hilarious in the ITV broadcast era (or it would have been hilarious, had it not been so utterly nauseating....). Still, he can feel pretty hard done by this weekend with Maldonado getting away nigh-on scot free with chopping him and leaving him with an imperfect car for Q3. Crashing out of the race, I'm not so sure he was blameless to be honest. At first I thought Kamui was entirely to blame but the more I see it the more I wonder why Lewis didn't check his mirrors as he was heading to retake the racing line in the braking zone for Les Combes.
Button must be wondering what might have been. Had his car survived the first lap intact it would have given him a real shot at the victory. He was probably going to pit early-ish anyway to get the harder tyre out of the way. Unlike many of the front-runners, he wasn't blistering the soft tyre much at all. They still went off the cliff unfortunately, hence Vettel overtaking him before his final stop. Still, puts him right with his team-mate in the standings now (actually, slightly ahead?). Squares it all up on DNFs between them. Interestingly, Button has been on the podium six times this season now to Hamilton's four.
Driver of the day - toss-up between Button and Schumacher for me. Both showed great racecraft. Think Button just shades it. Will be interesting to see how the usual suspects on various internet forums cope with his overtaking moves and dry race pace today!
Overtake of the day - Webber on Alonso into Eau Rouge. Mega, mega move.
Prat of the day - Maldonado for that post-race interview. I'd have some respect for him if he actually admitted what he did. As it is - zero respect. Stupid. Venezuelan. ****.
