BenQ XL2420T Now available

Certainly will do. Not really got much to compare it to though, upgrading from an old Asus VW224T, and I won't be testing its 3D credentials just yet.

Just got to work out how to get the damn thing home. Box isn't exactly South London rush hour train friendly...

/care about 3d anyway. :D

How about you get a taxi? ;)

Spent enough on the screen :(

I used to live in Crawley and work in Croydon, and I woudn't risk walking about with something like that under my arm. :D

Just checked other site and it doesnt even appear on there anymore! I know it went out of stock, but actually removed now...

Plenty other places have it in stock though.

wow the screen is bright in FPS mode!

Use standard mode. FPS mode is meant to look like crap.

You will need to manually configure the colour settings as they're meant to be crap out of the box anyway.

Any noticeable back light bleeding or stuck/dead/bright pixels etc?

Pedant alert. The timer itself may offer a high degree of precision but the overall method lacks any sort of precision or any real accuracy. I'm sure you're aware of the limitations though - for anybody curious about the limitationsthis article is worth a read. I'm also sure somebody will get around to testing the input lag using this method which will give a rough indication of what to expect in that area. I would expect it to be very similar to the XL2420T in this regard (with Black EQ disabled and Thru Mode enabled) and that is to say very good. Obviously as soon as I get a review sample this will be tested.

Maybe so, but what other real options do we have right now to measure the input lag? None to my knowledge. So unless you can do better right now.

Are there actually any monitors that are completely crosstalk free though? The LG was a cracking monitor performance wise. Still is.

Woop finally. Glad I held on a little longer so I could buy straight from ocuk :) Price is a little higher than other places though.

I might order two of these, but... what's OCUK's dead pixel policy on these? Manufacturer's policy? I haven't been able to find it...

I mean if they would have a dead pixel, would I be able to contact BenQ about it and they'd give me a new one considering their On-Site Warranty, or?

If I remember right the old model was 5 or more faulty pixels to get a refund/exchange.

Looks nice, so what's up with these 120hz monitors? As it's meant for gaming, do they match a good crt yet? for everything (Response, input lag, colours and viewing angels)? or am I still waiting on oled to make it's appearance for that?

They're no FW900 but you won't get much better from a LCD. Response and input lag is good. Colours and viewing angles not so much,. For that you need to go IPS.

Wow my xl2420t turned up today and i am very impressed. I think the viewing angles are still very good considering its a tn panel.

I changing from my dell u2711 and i still think the colours on the benq are excellent. Very happy with my purchase, must get 3d vision 2 kit on order!

People have been saying the colours are crap out of the box but very good once calibrated. Was this the same for you?

In another note here's a review http://www.ixbt.com/monitor/benq-xl2420t.shtml

Do any of you that have the monitor know what the setting is called to reduce the input lag? I thought it was called through mode or something.
