LOL at that team which is half Man United players, meanwhile no other club gets more than 1 player in it :)

I'm not too sure on what my team would be at the moment. The only players guarenteed a place in my side would be:

Buffon
Cannavaro
Henry
Shevchenko

Interesting to see Gerrard feature in so many sides.

yes intresting to see gerrad.

If you try to pin point his outstanding qualities he does not become a world class player. Only he puts together what he has very well to make him so good

He's a world class passer of the ball and has an engine as good as anyone in the world.

Its not particularly surprising to see him feature in so many teams.

Oh, I'm not suggesting that he isn't worthy of a place, it's just that he is (without counting them up) probably England's most nominated player this time around. Go back a couple of years and I don't think he was held so highly by as many people. e.g. http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18268 , but I'm sure this has been done more recently (as in nearly 4 years, things change and players improve/decline).

I think thats a pretty solid team with players who are in form in that postion.

He's a right footed left back and can operate on both flanks. Cole is good enough to displace him but Zambrotta is good enough to play elsewhere.

laughs at Sissoko being in a World XI :D

He is a good player, but there are PLENTY of better players in that position than him.

sissoko would be in any team I could pick, he may not shock and amaze with his skill, but in terms of breaking up play and just harrassing players into not being able to play, sissoko is the best in the world IMO. and I he would allow the other players in my 11 to play their very impressive games well.
He can also do it flat out for the full game, even into extra time. so much energy stregnth, stamina and pace. So it depends what you mean by better, there are players with more skill etc... but none who consistantly does the job he does so well, it may not be glamerous, but it allows your team to take controll of a game.

Makelele springs to mind. When Sissoko has done it for 15 years maybe he can be thought of as the same calibre.

i was close to putting Sissoko in, but like Gilly has said he's only done it for 1 season so far. I do however think that at the end of this season he could be seen as the best DM in the world.

World class passer of the ball ? You mean him hitting long 60 yard balls and none of them finding their man ? Also having a big tank does not make you world class. By this rule a third division player can be as good as some players who do not have a big tank.

I am not saying that hes not good ( i myself think he is world class ) but he does not have outstanding indavidual qualities like ronaldo ( real one ) or zidane.

He is a World class passer, he also is as good as anyone from shooting from outside the box and crossing. He is also proberly the most complete player playing today and deserves his place in any world 11, imo anyway

most complete. Not yet

Ballack is more complete.

But im not saying gerrard isnt great. I would love him at arsenal :P
Does Ballack have the defensive qualities of Gerrard? Or is Ballack physically as powerful etc as Gerrard?
The only area i can think that Ballack is better than Gerrard is in the air, other than that they are either very similar or Gerrard is better, imo.
