If you want to go even more obscure than the Die Hard / Lethal Weapon are christmas films meme...then RAMBO First Blood is also set at Christmas although not mentioned.

Lampoons is a yearly watch on Christmas eve in our house. Always watch Brazil Christmas day evening. Gremlins 2 is family favorite also.

Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (1971). Not exactly a Christmas film but I associate it with this time of year.

Only Fools and Horses "Miami Twice" Christmas Special also great from memory and I might try and watch that again this year.

Muppets Christmas Carol is the best version of that, yet every year we get our latest reimagining.

The kids and I have watched Home Alone 1 and 2 over the last few weeks and they're still remarkably funny and touching. I'd put them in the top tier category of best Christmas movies of all time.

yes if you remove all the Christmas references and change the setting then it wouldn't be a Christmas film, like most Christmas films.

Theme of the film needs to heavily involve Christmas and it doesn’t. Had Hans been there to steal Christmas presents rather than Bonds I’d have less of an argument
