Best Christmas Movies

When I was a kid it was bedknobs and broomsticks, chitty chitty bang bang followed off on christmass day with Butch cassidy and the Sundance kid. Oh and the Italian job (original).

To be honest for Christmas TV, usually happens on Christmas Eve, the ghost story is probably my highlight. Search BBC's adaption of MR James - they are really good!

Christmas films:
National Lampoons Christmas Vacation
Snowman
Gremlins
On Her Majesty's Secret Service (one of the best Bond films)
Muppets Christmas Carol

Must admit missed a few of the classic Chrimbo films, 54th, Jingle all the Way, I really must watch albeit I draw the line:

I don't count Die Hard as a Christmas film, undoubtedly a brilliant film, it's just the LA climate, it needs snoooow!
Home Alone, never watched the whole film as rage inducing; I was always rooting for Pesci to nuke the smarmy sprog and house.
Never seen Elf, I don't know, seems like another Home Alone, another blood pressure raiser.

Bond is usually a tradition. Albeit, last Xmas, made the mistake of watching, the last Craig film 'No Time to Die' - What a load of nonsense, as bad as the later Brosnan films.

So I've made my list and started last night with Jingle All The Way, which I think I saw nearer its release, but not since. It really isn't a good movie  Definitely a kids film (of course, but I mean, hard for me to enjoy) but generally, it was average at best. Definitely wouldn't be watching again at future Christmases.

Klaus -It's starting to become a staple of my must watch Christmas movies.

Home Alone
Christmas Vacation
Gremlins
Die Hard
I kinda rotate Scrooge/Christmas Carol movies. (I see Luke Evans has a new one)

To be classed as a Christmas movie Christmas has to be integral to the plot.

Die Hard can't happen unless it's Christmas simple as.

Only one I watch most years is jurassic park.

I now consider it a Christmas movie as its been on so many years its now tradition

Home alone is classic. But don't really watch the rest.

Tickets booked to go see Home alone today and will be taking the other half to go see Die Hard on the big screen later in the week for date night!!

Picked up the 4k Disk for Christmas Vacation for Christmas Eve hah

Cant wait

It used to be any Connery or Moore James Bond film, because they always showed one on Christmas Day when I was a kid.

Now I would say:

Die Hard
Lethal Weapon
A Christmas Carol (2009, animated)
Goodbye Mr Chips (B&W, 1939)
It's a Wonderful Life (B&W, 1946)

The first three are TV Movies but I make a point to watch them every year:

Peter Pan Goes Wrong

A Christmas Carol Goes Wrong

A Child's Christmases in Wales

Arthur Christmas

The Muppet Christmas Carol

I really enjoyed watching Home Alone at the movie theatre today :D

I noticed stuff I have previously missed. One example would be Kevin plane ticket getting tossed into the trash when the milk and juice get spilled.

Glad I experienced it and can’t ******* wait for DieHard!!
