Best console-style gamepads for the PC?

I've got a couple of games that would benefit from a gamepad - namely Virtua Tennis, FIFA, and Pro Evo - so I was wondering what the best one to get would be. Do the PS2 pads work with Vista for example?

i had a ps2 controler with a super joy box 3 pro for ages but the 360 pad seems to be the one to go for now

If you are used to a Ps2 controller then the logitech rumblepad 2 is ideal for you, thats what i use, but if the 360 is more your thing then im sure you can use 1.

I have a Joytech neo-s pc gamepad. The reason I love it is because it has 'mouse-mimik' technology, which allows you to use it as a 3 button mouse.

If you have the wireless version already for your 360 you can buy the PC wireless USB Reciever for about £12, which will allow you to use your 360 wireless pad with your PC.

Or OCUK sell em if you ahve'nt got one already here.....

360 pad hands down. If you find it comfortable that is. if you don't then, well, erm...... tough luck

best pad i ever used was the microsoft sidewinder gamepad, but it doesn;t work with xp and newer operating systems. :mad:

360 wired pads by far and away. It will even have vibration and trigger support for games that have the 360 pad in mind.

Yet another recommendation for the Xbox 360 Controller.

All games with "Games For Windows" on the box have to work with it too.

I have a PS3 sixaxis i use to play Dirt with, works fine on XP, dunno about vitsa.
