they arent replacing the last mile, but they're going to be reselling ADSL2+ soon

Have you thought about getting cable if your far away from the exchanges or cant get many decent isps?

I went from AOl to virgin media and im very happy with it. I got a deal of 17 quid a month for 4mb cable and it never drops bellow 3.5mb and is usualy at 3.8/9 the whole time

aww that sucks... you best not look at the speed test i just did while you were typing that out and edited in then considering im lossing less then 20kb off 4mb according to the speed test lol

you can get plenty of decent isps on normal adslmax. all is not lost.

as mentioned above, any enta reseller is decent. also newnet, idnet and zen have a good reputation right now. anyone with a monthly contract, you can't go wrong.

we are with ADSL24 but there are also other enta resellers that you may wish to consider ie AQUISS - TITANADSL - VIVACITI - UKFSN.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I again have to agree with most in this thread. Before I migrated away from ADSL24 (simply to get 24meg on LLU), my pings were VERY rarely over 17ms to UK or EU servers. Pings rock on Enta resellers, even on ADSL Max.

Since I moved to UK Online, my pings are into the 30s, which is ok, but nowhere near as fast as they were on ADSL24. Still, for a downstream speed of 22 megs real world, I'm quite happy to take the sacrifice
