Best looking pc game ?

There will be very little difference between the PC version of Last Light and Last Light: Redux.

It's the same engine (4A)

2033 is the only game (on PC) that will see an upgrade.

Mainly it's so their programmers could get to grip with developing games for Xbox One and PS4, whilst at the same time making them a bit more money reselling games.

When's last light redux out ? Wanna get that :)

Not sure, Steam just states Summer 2014. Seems like a bit of a money grab if I'm honest. I can see the appeal with Metro 2033 Redux being redone with Last Lights engine, but what have they done to Last Light to justify the price tag?

For me, Vanilla I'd say Witcher 2.

I might just get last light tonight then and try that out heard it looks amazing :)))

It is beautiful graphically, though can be taxing on the GPU as a result. I have a 290X GPU, which is no slouch, and playing this, while perfectly playable, is responsible for me seriously considering going Crossfire.

A little tip, if it does run ridiculously slowly, turn Physx off in the options. I think it's on by default and so with an AMD card this caused it to be a chug-fest after a certain point (handled by the CPU?).

For realistic visuals, i think Arma 3 is by far the best, it's not without flaws, but it's probably the only game i've played that i thought it does look real.

Crysis 3, Lastlight, Witcher 2 all don't look real imo, but have truly amazing graphics and effects.

Nobody a fan of Bioshock Infinite?

OR Farcry 3?

technical vanilla: toss up between ac4 [dat water] and bf4 [shanghai, again that water]

beautiful vanilla: the witcher 2, because whilst the plot and gameplay havent hooked me, i'll admit its very beautiful albeit somewhat overwhelming at times with some settings

modded: skyrim, hands down

inspiring: kerbal space program because some of the orbital views around jool [when multiple moons are in view] are amazing, or possibly relieving given the effort to get there

overall though modded skyrim has it for me, once spent 5 whole minutes staring at a tree stump in riverwood it was so beautiful

I know I'm going to get a lot of flack for this but... I personally think Watchdogs is one of the best looking games I've ever seen on PC. Putting aside all the lies we where told, I still think it looks beautiful.

I've just started playing it and i came in to post the same. It's a gorgeous looking game. A couple of times I've thought it looks a bit bland but other times I've been blown away. Also, the city just feels so alive.

have you played crysis 1 recently? loaded it up a while ago and compared to recent titles its starting to show its age now.

Just shows how great of a graphical achievement it was that it's only just now starting to show it's age. I do agree especially in some sections there just not the shading depth that there is in today's games.

Was the same with the original Far Cry though, looked fantastic and took many years to really start showing it's age, Can still play that and think it looks good.

How long do you think it will be before it's working on amd cards properly ? Still can't decide wether to get it or not !

Had a little go on last light ... Wow, the attention to detail in that game is unreal ...

Another vote for Watch Dogs imo.

The stock game on high settings with one simple config tweak to enable super sampling and it looks stunning at certain times of the day. Other times like sunny are pretty bland but the other day it went from thunder storm and heavy rain to dusk and it looked awesome with all the 'wet' looking textures and puddles everywhere.

Also the sea water looks the best I've seen in any game, on par with AC4 and BF4.
