Vanishing of Ethan Carter

All have great stories and are all very emersive!

I know Half-Life 2 is a decade old now, but I just recently replayed it. I think that it still stands as one of the ultimates in PC gaming, and the ultimate in single-player shooters.
The Witcher series are grate. It's one of the finest examples of choice in games, when you can change the entire game based on some of your choices. I'm super excited for Witcher 3.

The Division
Just Cause 3
Portal 2
Dark Souls
Doom
Dying Light
Battlefield 3 & 4

Assassins Creed Syndicate / Black flag ( Black flag has to be one of the best PC games I have ever played in my life , you can't beat the sea ship battles , its just amazing - its a no brainer buy it !

Tomb Raider Series

Anno Series

Cities Skyline

The walking Dead - Fantastic scripted game where you make the choices.

Rocket league - Great game to waste time on and fun

Just to suggest something a bit different: Life is Strange. I thought it was fantastic, and the first episode is free I think. It made me want to play more story driven games, so thinking about Walking Dead now.

I haven't played many new games in the last 5 years, but I'd say Doom and both new Tomb Raider games need to be played. Tempted by Witcher 3 but need to play the first two first.

Cheers guys. Come crackers in that list and plenty for me to work with.

Started playing Wolfenstein The New Order last night and it seems pretty good so far. Runs maxed out on Ultra settings @ 1080P. :)

Started on the Witcher 3 on Saturday night. That game is going to be a time sink, I can feel it.

Arma 3 and all it's countless mods you'll get a lot out of arma III, battle royale mod is great.

I so want to get into this but keep talking myself out of it as it seems quite demanding on time with the whole base building thing, plus there are so many mods it'd be hard to know where to start.

Echo some of the recommendations above: Doom (2016), both recent Wolfensteins are great, Tomb Raiders are pretty good.

Shadow Of Mordor

I'm really surprised that this isn't showing up on more lists. It's a truly epic game with unbelievably excellent combat mechanics.

I can't really throw much more into the ring - The Witcher 3, Alien Isolation, DOOM, (new) Wolfenstein and the new Tomb Raider games are well worth your attention. If you're after a good mindless blast, I'd also recommend Space Marine, which is really good fun and cheap as chips.

Just picked up Shadow of Mordor for <4GBP.

Think I'm going to have to order a bigger SSD.

Shadow of Mordor got very repetitive, very quickly for me.

Looks and sounded great however and the environment was awesome.
