Thanks - how do the Sabrent compare?

i have never bought that brand sorry. The only brands i ever buy in storage are western digital, crucial or samsung.

i imagine they have some very fast storage but its reliability i worry about more since all SSD drives that i ever used were fast, i was brought up with regular hard drives that are snails in comparisson

Yes MSI Gaming Plus x570 board

I have a samsung 980 pro 1tb in slot one pcie 4, a samsung 970 Evo 1tb in slot two pcie 3. Despite benchmark numbers being hugely different I can't really tell much difference.

980 is around £189, 970 is around £130.

Shop around a bit, WD black is possibly the cheapest(and arguably the best all rounder) and might be near enough budget. :)

I use one as my gaming drive & it absolutely flies, despite only being the PCIE 3 version. You honestly wouldn't notice any difference when compared to a more expensive drive such as the WD Black.
Yes I’m stick with the SN550 1tb as I had the 500gb prior and it was more than ample …. Just need to sort out my free shipping from OCUK now

Don't waste your money just get a sn550 1tb

Looking to get one of these myself now to fit into a Dell Optiplex 7040 Micro. Think I'm close to splitting my PC for parts to eBay and just using a cheap Micro PC. I use my machine these days for internet, office stuff and a large iTunes collection. Currently got about 3 1TB drives, M2 NVME, M2 SATA and SATA SSD

I needed a new SSD, had no idea what to get, was thinking p2 or sn550. In the end got a 1TB P5 for £75. I did have a search for another MX500 I currently use, but they’re up around £80-£90.

At just 75 quid the P5 looks excellent for the price.
