Best PSU option for this mini ITX case

Well for the sake of a few cm, as the Phenom/ Prodigy isn't that much smaller than the Asgard Pro, I would get this.

It is 11.5CM taller and 10CM deeper, thats 25% bigger. :p

The Phenom is wider though.

I tried, but you might want to detach yourself from the case as its a little difficult to get a decent PC into that case with your budget, partly because the case itself is £85, and partly because it can only acommodate Mini-ITX (small) motherboards, which are generally more expensive than their larger equivelants, and there are also no variations which can accomodate CPU's which would be the best option for your budget.

Far more powerful system for gaming. You could put a blue LED fan in the front if you wanted to mimik the look of the smaller case. :)

What your saying makes a lot of sense, however the size is really important to me.

If the case is an absolute, I can understand. I'm planning on doing the same thing in an FT03-Mini.

Stulid's original APU build is about as good as it's going to get. Tweaked with a better PSU, like he suggested, and your case, it's going to come in at the higher end of your budget.

Also it might be worth mentioning that despite what a lot of the reviews show, a lot of people seem to be saying that gaming on APU's at the moment isn't really that good. I believe some games even on the lowest settings at low resolution are still struggling to manage 20fps, I can't speak from experience as the only thing I've ever played on integrated graphics is Minecraft, which of course is absolutely fine, even on a an old G33 Express chipset lol. It might be worth checking into a bit more first though, make sure you're going to be able to get enough fps in the game(s) you want to be able to play on the APU, and also consider how long you'll have to live with it until you can get a proper discrete graphics card.
