Best Retro Handheld

Bought my Flip 2 that I had REALLY wanted, got it set up just right, then.... Went back to my Steam Deck :D

I can't be the only one guilty of this

Android devices are totally different to linux based ones.
Dont use the pre-installed emulators, set it up yourself with Retroarch and proper apps :)

Here's my go to video for android setup, I must have watched it at least 5 times now! Frontend, I personally use Daijisho

I use this, only thing I change, is using Duckstation standalone instead of RA Swanstation core.

Well after what seemed like hours and hours of messing about it's almost done, got 16 platforms running through Daijisho and all but 1 is working. Amiga games are not working without rooting the device due to capsimg.so needing to be in a folder I don't have access to. Looking for a workaround.

I love setting up things. Just setup the Xbox Series X with Retro arch through Dev Mode. Constantly playing with different configs on my RG353V and RG556.

So got it working with ADF files, looks like there is no way to do IPF without rooting the device which I don't really want to do.

Spent the rest of the night playing Speedball 2, badly. Don't remember it being that hard! The 476H is such an upgrade in terms of ergonomics, no hand ache at all whereas my thumb was really sore with the 35XX. The screen is pretty decent on it to0 and the few other games I had time to test after failing at Speedball all ran well. Very pleased with the purchase.

I've always had difficults generating the MAME game names instead of the zip file names showing.
Does anyone know how to get MAME2003-plus names showing?

On here it states 'MAME 2003-Plus DAT File: Github project page. An XML "DAT" file can be generated from the emulator, directly from the MAME menu.'

I've downloaded the xml but when I import it it says not supported or not imported. How do I generate this DAT file exactly within MAME?

Someone is wanting similar here - https://forums.libretro.com/t/how-to-generate-xml-dat-for-mame-2003-plus/23645

Cost aside, the Lenovo Legion Go 2 looks like a brilliant way to play retro games. I had my doubts about the 16:10 aspect ratio, but after seeing how versatile it is….I kinda want one!
