As title really, ive recently rejoined a gym! (long overdue) and i have a routine that im going to stick to everytime i go but what i really need is a routine that i can use at the gym and one at home that would help me loose the immense amount of fat around my stomach and chest!

Im not work shy and ill train harder and harder as my fitness comes back to me, just need a little help.

Thanks in advance. James.

I was looking for maybe an abs specific work out, in eating better and working out but in looking at something that could target my stomach a little more whilst im working out.

Ugh, i just want to be like i used to be haha.

Itll come, just rather it be sooner!

Thanks for the link too.

As posted, targeting your stomach is a myth pimped by the fitness industry.

Practically, your body had fat stores all over the place that it will use in the absence of suitable fuel... So losing tummy fat means losing leg, back, chest, visceral fat. In other words, it is hard work.

Also, remember the tag line "abs are made in the kitchen..." ;)

An 'ab workout' will work out your abs, but has no relation to losing fat from your stomach. Just eat right and exercise and you will be surprised how quickly the weight comes off.

there is no such thing as spot fat removal.
as said above, you can work your abs but if there's fat on top of them, they won't be visible (imagine a 300 pound morbidly obese man doing crunches. it's not going to make a difference).
the only thing you can do is lower your bodyfat percentage.
start by getting active, sort your diet out and things will start coming together. whatever happens, do not buy into the myth that you can lose stomach fat on it's own and DO NOT buy fat burning pills. one of the most effective methods is: only drink water (literally just water, no soda, no squash, no nothing), don't add salt to your food (sodium promotes water retention, which makes you look "fatter" than you actually are) and replace mayo, ketchup, bbq sauce etc with mustard (if you need a condiment).

keep going. it's a long process but it's worth it

just sort your diet out.. and if you lose the BF and you still can't see ripped abs, start training them..

if you start training abs with rubbish diet you'll simply pack extra muscle under the fat so it'll look even bigger lol.

The thing that makes me giggle is the people doing sit-ups and crunches are actually risking increasing the size of their stomachs due to increased muscle mass :D

Wouldn't it still make your stomach seem firmer and hold all the fat better or at least spread it out a bit.

I've always assume big abs hidden = firmer stomach than someone with just fat that wobbles around like jelly on a plate

Eat a healthy diet. Drink only water or green tea, put on some muscles and cardio.

Do some cardio very important. Try a minimum of 30min cardio. My most favourite cardio involves the jump rope.
