Best savings account?

Tandem are offering 5% easy access according to MSE. Not read into it yet, but the only downsides on first glance is that you have to manually tap a button to increase the rate from 4.65 to 5.0 (wtf?!), and that the 0.35% boost only applies for a year.

Very tempting, but I've never heard of them.

Shawbrook are offering 4.63% but it sounds like you have to get in touch to request moving to a new product every time they offer higher rates, which is a bit of a pain.

Chip get a good rep on here, but are lagging at 4.51%.

Marcus have the top up interest rate too where you have to tap a button but you've always been able to renew it so I assume Tandem will allow this too.

Been waiting for Chip to increase rates. But they have been slow this time round. May give it a day or two before I make a decision

Anyone committing to Tandem?
Seems FSCS protected etc, so tempted to put at least a bit in...
After tonight's MSE email I'm considering sticking a lump in there and remaining mortgage overpayments until the new deal next year.
Came on here to see if anyone else had experience with them as this is the first I've heard of Tandem.

Applied to tandem and it was effortless. Haven't moved my chip savings yet but will do next week if chip doesn't match it

Nothing wrong with tandem, been with them for several months. App isn't quite as polished as Chip from what I hear
Seems really annoying I can only transfer from the major banks, so I have to transfer from chase to santander then to tandem
