Best small midi tower?

Fractal Desing cases are spot on, and you also have the option to have USB C on the front panel I/O's, I use the Mini C with the windows, airflow is good, cable management is excellent, layout is flexible.

It says on Fractals website that it's for the Define R6 or S2? You can't use it on the Meshify C right? Cheers

Yeah, it's only the R6 and S2 that you can fit it to which is a shame. I'm debating on moving to the R6 just for slightly more room and airflow, my 1080ti is the current hotspot and short of watercooling it there's little I can do to improve it AND keep aestetics in tact ;)

Edit: Actually, looking at the upgrade kit, I'm not sure but it looks like it would fit, wonder if anyone has actually tried????

Ah that's rubbish, I think if Fractal refresh the Meshify C with USB C they'd be onto a winner I reckon!

That was what I was holding off for in the hope they would. I emailed in January and they stated they didn't have plans but it was a common request from people to engineering. I would have bought it if it had it but instead went for the Lian Li Lancool II.

Ah that's rubbish, probably won't sell too many units of it if they did bring it out, probably better just refreshing the case itself I think. Did you buy the expansion for USB C with the Lancool II in the end? Also how are you finding the case?

There might not be a specific one, but looking at the one for the R6 the footprint and shape look the same as the one on my Mini C, I reckon it might fit! Hard to tell from a video, but I've asked anyway

I actually won a competition on lancools Facebook page which was all extras for the case so I didn't need to.
I love the case! Best one I've had.

That's amazing! Congratulations! I've always got a place in my heart for Lancool hahaha, I just feel like the lancool 2 with all the holes for the extra bits would do my head in. Then I'd end up spending more money get all the extra bits when I could have just gotten a decent case to begin with, which is why I'm looking at the P600S :)

Nope, have not had a chance to at all, I swear WFH is worse, just seem to be glued to the laptop more than when I was in the office ffs! :D

Still very unsure with what to go for, I am probably leaning towards the FD meshify though.

I'll be sticking with air cooler for the time being (still just using the default amd 2600 one), would love to go AIO but still don't like the idea of them having a limited lifespan and the risk of a leak.....

Will check out that be quiet case as well though.

Thanks.

I was pretty happy with that as I only ordered the usb-c extra. The other stuff like verticals GPU stand etc doesn't fit though as my cooler is so big. Oops. I'll maybe fit it if I go water cooled in the future.

This is what put me off AIO but would still like one to be honest.

I just ordered the Scythe Fuma 2 myself, I don't like the idea of AIO and a work friend said he had one but was pretty noisy so he ended up switching back to the stock Ryzen cooler. Also the Arctic Freezer Liquid looks pretty swish!

At least with an air cooler if it fails you'll have a slightly warmer CPU. What cooler are you rocking @michty_me ??

I think the Meshify C is a great choice of case, although I think the new BeQuiet has some potential to steal some of the market share this year!

I went with the be quiet dark rock pro 4. Not gonna lie, it's total overkill for a 3600 CPU but my plan is to drop a higher core chip in when the 4000 series is released and prices drop.

well, true to form Fractal replied pretty quick and it's a no-go. Their agent confirmed that although they do look similar there upgrade kit is too big to be mounted into a Mini or Meshify without some serious mods!. Worth a shot :)

I was going to end up with a DRP4 but then I looked at the install process and it just seemed a bit more faff than I wanted. Although I'll accept it's one of the best looking coolers out there!

@Dave Burton That's a shame but at least they got back to your that quickly! I realised the build I was going for, the mobo doesn't support front USB C so feels like a bit of a waste getting the P600S now unless I fork out for an x570 board but I don't like that silly VRM fan they all have....

I stayed team blue with my last upgrade, the MSI MPG Z390M Gaming Edge has the newer USB C header on it, might come in handy for the future!
