I recently changed my standard cooler for a Nero S and Arctic cooling MX4 paste and used arcticlean fluid all bought from here

I used the spread method and the results 10c less than OEM at idle and over 10c whilst gaming

MX4 is the best out there!

I had re-apply my mum's pc, my pc and my old pc! All come a very low temperatures now.

It's out of date. Yes AS5 is still a good paste, but MX3 is better, requires no curing, and isn't on the list (let alone MX4).

hi troops!!

i fired one of the indigo extreme interfaces on my i7 with the h50 and my temps are not good...im not sure how i can get them better and im not keen on frying the cpu gain to get it to work...anyone else tried it and what results are you getting??

i just build a new rig yesterday and it was the first time id ever applyed my own thermal paste. i used mx-3 and it worked a treat

i squirted a ball of paste in the middle of the cpu. slightly bigger than a pea and let the weight of my cooler spread it around the cpu itself. worked well for me.

How can you tell if the full chip has been covered using that method?

i couldnt until i got into windows and had a look at temps. idle temps and full load temps are good so its worked ok.

Have just used MX4, CPU temps down 3 degree's, core temp range a lot more even, l'm H2o cooled so my GPU will run that bit cooler to. As l cool the CPU first then the GPU, LOL two for the price of one..

I used mx3 when I setup my water cooling. Seems to do the trick fine, can't imagine another paste giving noticeable difference really. I prefer to put a dot in the middle then spread evenly with a credit card to ensure its fully covered
