Best thing to use to remove thermal paste

I have some isopropyl alcohol and i was wondering whats the best thing to apply it to to remove the paste?

I heard coffee filters are good but the ones i have are fairly abrasive so im uncertain whether it would be a good idea to use it?
 
I wipe off the bulk with kitchen roll, then use swabs and an arctic 2-pack for cleaning then purifying
 
Usually use a bit of plastic that looks like a credit card, that gets the majority of it off. I then use a cleaning kit which removes and does some other stuff (OCUK used to sell it)
 
90%+ Isopropyl alcohol.

Get it from the local chemist.

EDIT: I can read. Just have at it with Kitchen roll and Q-tips to get the corners.

I've always tended to scrape off most of the gunk with an old credit card and then use loads of cotton buds dipped in TIM to deal with the rest until it's clear.
 
I usually manage to wipe almost everything off with 1 or 2 bits of kitchen roll with no problem at all. Then I just use a cotton bud or a bit more kitchen roll in isopropyl alcohol or lighter fluid to clean it up better. Always comes up great and never causes any problems with new paste on after.
 
Deatomizer! That will get every last particle of TIM off that thing for you! Or just use some Isopropyl alcohol with cotton buds! Just as good :) Probs cheaper too. deatomizer more fun tho!
 
I'd probably just apply the isopropyl alcohol you've got to any soft cloth and be done with it. I doubt there'll be any discernible difference in how well the thermal paste is removed between any reasonably soft fabrics. Otherwise, just use kitchen roll or kleenex.
