Best version of street fighter for the SNES?

The best SF conversions to be had are on the Saturn.

XMen vs. Streetfighter on the Saturn (with 4MB cart) is a fantastic port and has taken up so many hours of my time. The Streetfighter collection on the Saturn is also fantastic.

oh dear... what have you all done!

What other multiplayer and single player games do you recommend? SNES games are suprisingly cheap.

Super Mario Kart and Bomberman are great multiplayer games. See if you can find a multitap and NBA Jam too. Oh, 3 player Secret of Mana is superb (and still in my 'best games ever' top 10)

mm check out micro machines V3 on the PSX amazing fun in 2 player + the F1 cars past and rpesent are awesome, and the tracks are pretty good (some of em anwyay!)

but yea mario kart on the snes is where its really at. amazing fun, still as frantic as you rememberred it, especially in mutliplayer battle mode!

Ah just found a classis. If you have 2 controllers and a SNES buy putty squad. It's a fantastic cooperative split screen platformer.

The best, imho, is Super SFII. You get the extra characters, more colours for your fighters, and you can still ramp it up to turbo speeds if you so wish.

Super Street Fighter II on the SNES was *not* able to be ramped up to Turbo speeds. That is pretty much the only criticism of the game. AFAIK, the best home version of Super Street Fighter II X was on the 3DO.

Street Fighter Alpha II on the SNES is also a superb conversion, but Street Fighter II Turbo is my favourite. :)
