best washing machine?

got a 6yr old beko sitting in my kitchen, working as good at it was when i bought it for around £200 new 6yrs ago. only had to have someone come and look at once in that time and that was when one of the mrs's hair clip things got into the pump. he got it out with a magnet contraption for around £50.

Lol someone has something negative to say about most makes and models. I only mention it as my current hotpoint has been going strong for 7 years.....and this post

You are very lucky.
Hotpoint washers used to be built in North Wales up until 2007 and the quality was awful between 2004 to 2007.
Working for the company I had an Hotpoint that had to be changed 3 times in 2007 and as soon as it went wrong again I bought a Bosch.

Listen to oldcoals, he deals with Washers every day of his life.
My mate runs the Appliance Factory and he won't sell Hotpoints but he makes a lot of money fixing them.

after my old hot point aquarius i got s/h burnt out after 10 more years of use
i needed a new one

so done a lot of resarch like i allways do before i buy products
and got a hotpoint WMXTF942P
this ones so quiet sometimes have to go and see if its still switched on..
when washing comes out its hardly damp so dries quickly

Second thread revival - rather than starting a new thread and all that!

Has anyone had any experience with the LG DirectDrive/TrueSteam or Samsung Ecobubble machines?

I was looking to get an LG 8Kg Direct Drive (F14A8TDA5) but can't get hold of one (that delivers to Channel Islands).

The LG F14A7FDSA TrueSteam is the next best I can find to the one above but bit over my budget.

I have a Samsung Washing machine and a dryer too.

Been great, and more reliable than the other big brands I had used before.

I do also work for them, and get awesome discount (usually around 50% retail)
