Best way to loose the belly!!

ok so since i have left school, the amount of exercise i have done has decreased, and the amount of beer that has been consumed has increased.

basically i just want to lose the belly ;) (not beer belly, just belly belly)

anyway, i do eat pretty healthy, but whats the best way to lose it? i go for a run every now and again (as much as it pains me lol)

what else can i do inside the home (or around the home)

i dont really want to sign up to a gym, and im trying to save money every month, paying an extra £30+ out for a gym i wont use as much as i should is just wasting money.

Basically do the opposite to what made you fat :)

Cut down on the beer and exercise more ;)

lol i know that smart arse lol :p

i mean what kind of exercise? will running do it? or should i be working at doing more types of exercise.

looking at starting up play squash again soon :) loved that a while back
 
Drink less .. eat even more healthy than you do now, regular exercise ... running etc...

Cut down on the beer most importantly (i know its difficult ;)) go for gin and tonic or somthing instead

cos i like to go out and spend time with mates at the weekend, as i dont see anyoene really during the week.

plus is powerwalking likely to do much?
 
i do tend to move onto the vodka n coke when out. i'll just quit the beer and stick to vodka, this weekends weather forcast is 24 degree's def beer garden weather :D
 
cutting the booze for 4 weeks decreases my waist by over 2 inches, and i mean JUST cutting the booze, its truly ridiculous. 4 pints is about the same Kcal as a bag of chips and if like me at my worst you would drink up to 8 per night sometimes you can imagine that it somewhat accumulates.

Cutting down on the drinking is the best thing i coulda done for my weight, taking up and doing well at bodybuilding is just the icing on the cake really.

4 pints the same as a bag of crisps? i would have thought it would be more than that


ps. started with some light exercise last night. walked a costal path from my place to the beach and back. 6miles in total. up hill a lot of the way. was more of a fast paced walk to get the heart going for abit. tonight im going over the park (live oppersite :p) and going to do the sprinting thing using a rugby pitch :)
 
right the healthy eating is now in full force, with running 3 times a week, darts once a week (i know its not exercise lol) and then squash twice i week.

reading around squash can burn a lot of caleries. as im looking to lose weight, im eating about 1600 caleries a day. how many should i be aiming to burn off? as many as possible? not sure what a couple mile run burns off. and what a hour of squash burns either. any ideas?

Well drink wise I'm being good now cutting the beer completly and aiming to drink only vodka and diet coke. That would be better?

I've just had a dam good hour of squash which really got the heart going and the muscles working. Heading for another game tomo and not going out over this weekend. If I do I will only be drinking the above!!

I'm in a 5-a-side league now, need to get in a bit better shape for that :p

the past few days i've been eating well and played squash the last 2 night. really feeling it today though lol

giving it a miss tonight, but am playing again tomo night.

hopefully i will start to see something dropping off! lol
 
reading other threads.

maybe it would be better for me to bulk up and keep the weight? obviously playing squash is sweating everything out of me. but maybe i should be bulking up rather than trying to lose the weight??
 
If you bulk first then lose weight you will be much happier with whats underneath. Im currently cutting down from a bulky 17st and although im still some way off being lean whats underneath is rather awesome looking and every day im shocked by what i see in the mirror. If i was not carrying as much muscle i would probably have given up already, i know some guys with low bodyfat who still have moobs just because there is no Pec there to shape the tissue.

so to bulk first i need to be doing weights etc!!

just doing squash isnt going to do much is it ;) lol


right! so best way to bulk?? lots of protein? and lots of weights??? sit-ups etc
