bet365 boss pays herself £265 MILLION

Part of me is like good luck to her, part of me is like should she be giving more back perhaps?

Well that is up to her or the government in the case where they might want to add additional tax bands or increase rates for existing bands for anyone they might apply to (not just her). It is a bit odd that the bulk of it is her basic salary, but it is privately owned by just family members so anything goes I guess.

Just wanted to point out i'm not jealous (well a lil bit because who wouldn't want that money lol but not in a envy way) was just curious to see others views. Part of me is like good luck to her, part of me is like should she be giving more back perhaps? Not sure what the answer is.

Hidden away in the last line of the article, it says she gave 75 million to charity last year. Equivalent to 35% of her pay*. Or an average earner giving about £10,000 per year.

*The money wasn't directly out of her pay

What is the business going to do with the money other than give it to the owners? Leave it lying around for some politician to issue a windfall tax? I doubt the business has that much room for growth that needs £100's millions to invest in.

She doesn't owe anyone a penny, she's a fantastic individual donating as much as she does of her money to charity. I doubt The Guardian has given £75m away to charity.

No issues with what she pays herself. The real issue is inadequate taxation for people like this. IF tax rates progressively increased to 70-80% then there would be far less of an issue with people getting such salaries.

But then she'd perhaps not pay herself a salary like that in the first place but just take a larger dividend payment.
