US: Better Call Saul

Breaking bad was only 13 episodes per season. Perfect amount if you ask me. Most of these shows that have 20+ eps per season have a lot of monster of the week filler eps.

AMC is a cable channel and it's very rare for any cable drama to be more 10-12 ish episodes per season. The ones that do 20+ tend to be network channels not cable.

Cable = quality over quantity
Network = quantity over quality

At least as a general rule.

i too sit in the camp of really enjoying this series.. at the end of the last ep, i had the real emotional connection of his frustration and that walking the line between doing the right thing...

brilliant brilliant series..

The episodes just feel so short. I love this series but I oddly feel underwhelmed at the end because it feels like it's passed so quickly. I want more...

It's going to be interesting to see how Chuck dies. I'm assuming he dies because I just don't see Jimmy turning into Saul while Chuck is around, he would be too disapproving and all Jimmy cares about is Chuck's approval.

I don't think he will die. I've got an idea that he will recover to the point where can return to Hamlin and steal the case from Jimmy, probably winning it and becoming a hero in Hamlin once again.

Poor old Jimmy will feel so bitter at this betrayal, particularly after the way he cared for Chuck, that he will abandon his better side and descend into the abyss of shady lawyer, Saul Goodman.

I'm loving the depth of story being built up now and the different avenues we could follow leading up to the birth of Saul Goodman. I really enjoyed last nights episode especially when Jimmy came bursting out of the toilet with his 'demand letter' :D

The same way I felt with Breaking Bad.

It's rather good, well no it's very good. Can't wait to see how he turns on Saul.

I literally gasped at the end of the episode.

I so thought Chuck was gonna faint or collapse, and Jimmy would be in way over his head and throw it all away

Was it just me or was the last scene in the latest episode REALLY well framed? It just stunned me how beautiful it looked.

Same as BB, the cinemtography is just amazing for a TV show. I can't think of anything else as visually stunning, camera work wise ignorning special effects etc.
