Betting on the football?

I have a 5 fold thing going I need Arsenal to get the win here or Newcastle to grab a draw the others are good so far :o

£1.00 stake, won £183.73 :D

Had £200 on Barcelona beating Shakhtar the other day too. Was on evens, won £200. Been a good week. :)
 
I didn't even know I'd won anything until now. I checked the scores earlier and Villa were drawing 1-1 when I checked about 89th min. Gabby! :D
 
Last minute winners.

This is why I love it when football commentators remark about tension being lifted from a ground after a goal has been scored. 'Love' for a team my ass, there's x thousand no. of people who have just won their bets! ;)
 
Great result James I had a bit of a howler in my accumulator.

Chelsea,UTD,Blackpool, Everton, QPR to win and Arsenal to draw all went pear shaped yesterday!

Did have 2x£5 free bets though which I stuck on City to win and Barcelona to draw and won £14 and £12.50

Did 20p per game in the week on Barca, Schalke, UTD, Real and £1 on accum and won £30. All I had left in the account at the time :(
 
Very OT but i am in dispute with Will Hill right now.

I bet on Kahn to win in rounds 4-6 and they credited my account after the fight.

They then withdrew my winnings in the middle of the night and claim that because it went to the scorecards my bet did not win. The small print they quoted me says that the bet will be settled on the round the fight ended in.

However the point is they gave me the money and then randomly took it away again.
 
Bookies always going to come out on top eventually.
I won £260 on united recently and withdrew all my money and wont bet on football again. Once your up against the bookie get out.

That does sound like it is of very dubious legality.

What if you had withdrawn the money right after they accredited it to you? Would they now be sending you a bill for the disputed winnings?
 
Sounds odd. I tend to try and write mine all down on the bet slips instore. Try and write it as clear as I can so they don't rob me.

Though with simple football accum's, I just do it online. Saves me driving down before they shut. When I can just do it the night before before I go to bed.
Oh and recently I made a mistake on a bet slip, accidently put £11 instead of £1 and confirmed the bet. I know it's not much but I rang them about it the next day before the match started and they refunded me no questions asked. :D

Well the end to the story was that they refused to credit the bet.

They first offered me a £5 free bet and then gave me my stake back.

They are adamant that when they go to the scorecards due to an injury they will not pay out on the fight ending in that round. Having looked at the fine print they actually state that they will pay out on a points win in these circumstances but it doesnt mention not paying on on the rounds.

However i pointed out that that wasnt what i had the problem with,it was the fact that they paid out and then a number of hours later took the money back when they spotted their error. I said that had i placed the bet in a shop would they have come round to my house after i collected for the money? Of course not! I also said that i went out after the fight with friends and bought an extra round of drinks on the strength of winning the bet only to find the money gone the next day.

The bottom line is its the principle of the thing, it wasnt a huge amount of money. Ive withdrawn my cash and closed the account and i'll take my cuustom elsewhere. Im sure they wont care or go bankrupt on the back of me doing that!!

Anyone betting a red card in Barca vs Real tomorrow? £10 gives £22.50 not too bad odds considering it has a high chance.
 
Not bad - considering doing it. A Man U win and red card in El Classico gives you 3.43 at Ladbrokes.

just a quickie, i put a bet on Dzeko to score first last night, as the first goal was a own goal. Do i get my stake back?
