The more I see of this game the more I want to play it, hope it's as good (if not better) than their previous titles. Very impressed with what I've seen and heard so far.
 
Done. Just remembered Ive got £90 of vouchers sitting on Amazon - was gonna use it towards next gen consoles, but this is close enough :). Got the Heavy Rain SE so might aswell get this one too. Hmm might get The Last of Us too, but its bang in exam time...

I loved Heavy Rain with exception to the screen tearing. It really did ruin the whole game. I like the look of this one, but I do hope they've managed to resolve their frame tearing issues from their previous game...

There was screen tearing? I must have been too engrossed in the game to notice :p

I'm quite sensitive to it, so even if the game is 100% engrossing just a single frame out of time and I notice it..

but, the game was very ambitious and was 'very' good and I enjoyed it so much I replayed the game again.

One of my all time PS3 favs and reason for owning a PS3
 
Having just returned to PS3 I had never heard of this until now, looks immense, a great time ahead for PS3 in the coming months.
 
Has this been pushed back or was it always an October release? Just had an email from Amazon advising of the date change. Ahh looks like the release dates just been confirmed officially. Man a nice evenly spaced set of exclusives before the PS4 is released - cant complain :)

I've got it pre-ordered from two places, Amazon with next-day delivery, and Zavvi for £4 less. Both special editions, so I'll figure out which one to cancel a little closer to the time.

And yeah, it's a great year for the PS3. Despite all the fuss about the next gen consoles, it really doesn't mean anything until they're released and people can buy them; I'm quite glad Sony are showing that there's still a focus on the current console, whereas MS seem to be all about the Xbox One now.
 
It is nice that Sony are still releasing some from the looks top AAA exclusives for their PS3 systems just before PS4 hits the market, but then Sony has always supported their last gen consoles until the bitter end if truth told.

Sony know that their is still loads that'll buy PS3 games even when PS4 is out. They make money on each sale of software for either system. I've always liked how Sony do not just ditch their older gen just because newer hardware is coming out.

I'm going to pre order this, as well as GT6 and got my pre order for Last of us in as well. What with PC gaming and my PS3 that'll keep me busy until xbox one or PS4 becomes affordable : - )
 
what's Amazon like for getting pre-orders on release day as I have never pre-ordered games from here before?

I ordered the special edition and selected first class as that states I would get it release day.

I very, very rarely use anyone other than Amazon for my pre-orders (or anything else for that matter) unless they're offering an exclusive edition of some sort. Amazon've been great and always deliver on time (they generally dispatch the night before and it tends to arrive the next morning between 9AM and 12PM).
