Beyond: Two Souls

Figured I'd throw it in here, German version of this is censored.

Preview done by a German publication, says scenes have been censored in their version.

Based on recent history, it will probably apply to all of EU as SCEE are cheap and only do one version, Twisted Metal, Last of Us, God of war ascension, all censored Europe wide, rather than one version for them and uncensored for everyone else.

My English isn’t perfect but I try to translate it as good as I can:
“According to our information, in the European version of Beyond: Two Souls two scenes will be slightly cut. This affects all Eurpoean versions (UK, AT and so on), as always with Sony. Reportedly, the US version will be slighty cut in erotic scenes. This means, according to Sony, that there won’t be a real uncut version at all.”
In the last sentence they just explain that they can’t offer the US version because it’s not allowed by Sony to import them.

This means we will have two different versions.
EU version: Nudity not censored, two violent scenes censored
US version: Violent scenes not censored, nudity censored

Then the only hope is the Asian version, normally they have English (Asian version, not jpn version). They normally make their own decisions (they are the only region to have disc version of Okami hd for example).

Stupid SCEE and their blanket censorship/one version for Europe, if it wasn't for that we might have got an untouched version.

i remember importing 2 games i wanted on ps3 before they were out anywhere else demon souls and gran turismo prologue.demonsouls was chinese honk kong edition which has english text & speach and gt5 was japanese which only had JP text & audio.
i was really looking forward to beyond two souls but now its being censored i think i will skip it. tbh i actually thought the developers were moving straight to ps4 im sure thats what they said when people wanted dlc on heavy rain.
 
Im sure the censorship is going to be so minor you wouldnt have noticed it unless you were told beforehand. Its like not watching any films at the cinema because you know the directors cut will turn up on bluray. Its all quite silly...

Oh well. I've got the Special Edition pre-ordered for £31.50, absolutely zero point in even considering to import a copy. I'll never know the difference anyway, but there's always YouTube I guess.
 
Grr, did they have to release this so soon after Fifa and GTA? I absolutely loved Heavy Rain, and this would normally be a day one purchase for me, but it's not well timed!

I preordered from Amazon months ago when they had the special edition available for pre-order , just had a look how much it cost in my orders and it says £32.99 , looks like a bargain.

Cant believe how quick this has come around ,mind you gta will still be taking up a lot of my time:)
 
Considering this is out in just over a week there's been very little hype.

A little too close to GTA V perhaps? Really intrigued by this though, but I will wait for the reviews.
