Beyond: Two Souls

what's Amazon like for getting pre-orders on release day as I have never pre-ordered games from here before?

I ordered the special edition and selected first class as that states I would get it release day.
Personally I have used them once for two copies of Black Ops 2, to two different adrresses. They arrived three days after release even after I had paid extra for first class delivery.

It could have just been an unlucky or out of sorts 'episode' but I won't be pre-ordering from them again.

I'd chalk that up to misfortune :p but I guess everyone has different experiences with retailers like I've never received anything I ordered from Play.com, and I find that Zavvi has on several occasions taken weeks (almost months) to dispatch stuff sometimes while friends and colleagues use them regularly and swear by their service. I've been using Amazon primarily for about 6 years for pre-orders, and I haven't had any issues with them (or at least not for things that were their fault).

You're probably right, just misfortune. However simplygames have never let me down so I'll be going with them :)

Yep just been looking at that issue, simplygames don't seem to offer SE's like other places do (on several games across all platforms), not sure why, looks like I will afterall being going elsewhere.

yeh i had high hopes for this game, but i dont know, its just sorta dwindled away, ive also cancelled my pre-order

at e3 they showed what looked to be an entirely different game for me, after that i lost interest in it because it wasnt what i thought it would be. maybe something may change at gamescon

You mean the stuff set in the middle-east? That's from when Jodie was younger, they're presumably trying to make the game more than just tapping buttons in accordance to what's on-screen ala Heavy Rain.

I hope it's better. I enjoyed Heavy Rain, but the story was a bit silly really and the voice acting/dialogue really let it down; I didn't really connect with any of the characters or care about what happened to them. Hopefully having Ellen Page and Willem Dafoe on-board means they've addressed that, I'm not expecting it to rival The Last of Us but it'll be a shame if it falls flat.

We heard any more on this? Just been told by Amazon that the voucher I put on this is one-time only so if I cancel I wont get it back :(. So Im hoping this is better than what weve seen at E3. TGS Im guessing?

It also means I cant cancel my PS4 order - oh well :p

ps3ud0

This is one game I've been looking forward to for a while, really looking forward to it..

It's looking great. I liked The Last Of Us but would prefer its a lot more like Heavy Rain. Loved that game, utterly fantastic from start to finish. I can see the merits to the open world game but much prefer the more linear story driven game.
