BF Hardline Visceral Games

Well, I am quite enjoying the challenge of getting the camera coins. Was frustrating at first, but got 4 in a round last night.

My block will be the marksman coins, can't seem to string together enough headshots. Everyone else seems to headshot me for fun, but I can't seem to sus how to do it...

Some weapons are far easier to get head shots with than others due to their accuracy. I'm a big fan of the sight which has the battery thing in the left as it gives you a very clear view of everything, making it easier still.

Just bought this. Anyone had a problem with vsync in campaign mode?

I have (as I always do) enabled vsync and triple buffering in nvidia control panel, yet when I launch the game, the game seems to sense I have a refresh rate of 75Hz. Connected to tv via HDMI. Even if I change res and refresh in game, it always appears to be higher than the refresh rate selected. Everything seems smooth enough and I can always cap fps with rivatuner, but just wondered what could be causing this issue that I haven't come across before.

Lower your sensitivity and you will become the headshot master

will give these tips a go, thanks :)

Had a go last night with the scout elite and the 14x scope, got 5 coins in one round of derailed. Got another tonight, makes 7 in total, just 8 left to got :D

Ok so I'm a huge BF4 fan, now you've all been playing a few weeks is this BF Hardline worth the buying?

depends what you like.

i like it as i play infantry all the time no vehicle whore :p

it plays well the main thing wrong with it at moment is the spawns if you play tdm.in big 64 man you spawn on each other.

apart from that fast fun.quicker than bf4.so if not infy player you often get raped :p

Just completed the single player on veteran difficulty and it was a bit odd. Overall I really enjoyed it as its far different to the usual modern FPS shooter game in this series and COD, but theres quite a few holes in the plot made by the ability to arrest people. Theres absolutely no penalty for just shooting people first, not that you are able to at the start, but you are quite soon after.

Also, when you aren't a cop anymore, why the hell can you arrest people?! It makes absolutely no sense.

Another rather game breaking mechanic is silencers as it makes the game a pure stealth shooter. If you put a silencer on a weapon like the SOCOM with a 4x scope, you'll just headshot pretty much everyone and not really get detected unless you miss. Without the silencer makes the game far harder as you have to either take people down, tazer them or avoid them completely, which can become very difficult depending on the episode you're playing.

Aside from all that, the story line towards the end makes absolutely no sense. Why does the guy just leave you everything? Is that what the woman wanted who also betrayed you earlier? Why the hell is she even helping out?! The two guys motivations for helping are also never explained as they don't appear to earn anything out of it, yet risk their lives constantly on fools errands.

Single player overall = 6/10. Would have been FAR higher if both of the issues in the spoilers weren't so retarded.

Never getting any of those syndicate assignments done, that tier 4 rep is a load of crud.

indeed - I did it on a Hotwire no kill server. There seems to be little chance of getting the 4th tier legit. When I did it, scoring constant points it took a good few minutes to go from tier 3 to tier 4 - in this game how likely is it for you to score a boat load of points without dying, not very....

check this guy out, the "best" operator in the world according to the leaderboards:

http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bfh/agent/katmpb/stats/306822479/pc/

spent about 170 hours in no kill Hotwire servers

I can't understand why the leaderboards exist?

Indeed, with a K/D of .36, he's not exactly earning that spot! I got the vast majority of my T4's with a friendly hacker. The rest I got by playing with a good squad and getting ridiculous kill streaks. I agree, it's not reasonable to expect 30 kill streaks just to get t4, it's not like any of us can do that on a regular basis.

I gave that a try, keep getting fairfight kicked for boosting after unlocking t3

I couldn't even complete the assignment on no kill servers with a 100% boost.

It is up to you. It is by no means a bad game but there are some really irritating balancing issues as well as **** poor server tick rate and stupidly low TTK (which combine to mean that pretty much whoever sees who first, wins). Ridiculously OP grenades are another irritation. If one lands within 10m of you, chances are it is going to kill you :) Yet the HE grenade launchers are **** poor against everything. For example, a frag grenade will destroy a white van in one go. It takes 2-3 hits with a HE grenade launcher to do the same job! Utterly stupid. You can't even kill infantry with a direct HE grenade to the chest it is so weak. Helicopters are totally OP as it stands unless you get someone with a fetish for stingers, but a good pilot with a repper can tackle that to some degree.

It can go from fun to a grind very quickly depending on the teams. When you are in a team full of clueless players it becomes tedious, but when you are in a squad with comms with players who do know what they are doing the experience completely transforms. The balancing issues still suck balls, but you can mitigate much of it with tight teamplay.

Ergo - if you want to play on your own as a lone wolf (like Dg :p) it might not be the best time to buy. Retarded spawn system, weapon balancing and team balancing can make this game very frustrating.

If you have friends who play and you can get into a squad on comms it might be worth a go for you. It is certainly faster than BF4 and much more infantry orientated if that is your thing. But if you are after a pure run and gun shooter, CoD:AW might be more your cup of tea.

Had some good games here and there over the weekend. Tried TDM to unlock weapon attachments, and found it surprisingly easy. I think I gave Dg a surprise with the MPX ;)

If anyone wants tier 4 rep, I prioritise squads with OcUK members in if I am playing the Hacker. Another good tip is to play a game mode which is going to give a longer game (High ticket conquest).
