I would like to use TS as I have no idea how to use BF2 VOIP :confused:

It's bound to B or something by default. But I can never tell if I'm actually being heard or not

bf2 voip is kinda sucky.

u can only speak if your squad leader or commander.

if your commander other squad leaers can speak to u, if your squad leader your squad can hear u but cant speak to u.

default key is v to speak.

Not sure how long uve thought this, and without seeming rude, thats complete tripe. Anyone in a squad can talk to their squad mates and they can all hear and speak to each other, not just the squad leader.

Either that or ive been talking to myseklf, and sumhow my squad mates have telepathiclly heard what ive said and spoke back, and ive telephathically heard them talk back for the last 6 months

Whats the point in setting up TS with a channel for every squad when BF2 already has this built in?

I'm not too sure if I'll be able to take part in this now. My RAM has just decided to pack up (All 2GB of it I think) so I'm stuck with 512MB.

I'll try playing with 512MB see how I get on.

You should be ok just put textures to low, if not you might just get in before then end of the round

Hehe. It's not looking good tbh. I can't patch BF2 at the moment. Everytime I try and patch it to 1.21 full everything locks up and I can't do anything.

Also one of the sticks of RAM doesn't work so I'm down to 256MB. :eek:

I think the pattern was 2gb, 512mb so thats 25%. half, 256mb so really the next step is 64mb

well i was playing with my m8 on a UK 64 player ranked server, we was using xfire for voice comms. we was both in a squad, i was the leader. he tried pressing the default key button for speaking in bf2 but the rest of the squad couldnt hear him.

that coulda been his fault due to incorrect key assignments, but when im in a squad and press v the speech icon on the right hand side doesnt come up. it only comes up when im squad leader.

I tried using voip today and no joy.
My mic works in windows, it works in the voip setup program but nothing in BF2, anyone got any ideas how to fix this? I'd like to be on voip for this match.

Went on Bf2 at a friends house today, a lot of lag as his system was shop bought a while ago and he has around 30 games installed :eek:

Took some off and defragged, figured the PCI-E X700 wasn't really cutting it so dropped to LOW settings in game @ 1024x768 just to see what the FPS would come out at before I ramped them up some.

Now apart from basic shadows outdoors you can see everywhere? :confused:

In the warehouses on Karkand its fully lit, this applies to huts and corridors everywhere too. Is it just me or does this seem majorly unfair??

tbh your brightness is too low if you cant see inside the warehouses on kharkland.

i havent tweaked anything on my system, but removing the shadows in there would provide me with no advantage whatsoever.

I can see, but this is basically fully lit on his system. Its like playing CS with HDR
