BF3 vs MW3

Hey all.
I own BF3 and have played many of the older BF games.
I don't own MW3 but have played the older MW games (including the COD games that are not 'Modern Warfare' titles).

I have seen a few reviews and wondered which one is best.
I have put this in the PC section but I suppose it could just as easily be in the console section.

Try not to start throwing your handbags at each other, I don't want this to end up as arguementitive as a PS3 vs Xbox 360 thread :p.
 
cod4 and wait for the modders to make custom maps of the new ones?
Or bf2 and wait for the modders to make custom maps from the new ones?

Two different types of fps multiplayer so you can live with both.
I haven't bought a single cod game after cod4 due to dedi issue.
 
Both very differant games

BF3 - Great open map vehicle / infantry combat

MW3 - Great intense squad / team based combat
 
Think you missed the point of my comment, which is "best" depends entirely on what your looking for from them, you can't really compare them to each other as if one is an alternative to the other.
 
There is no way anyone can answer this question with out sounding like a fan boy.

For me COD stopped being the front runner at COD4. MW2 was crap, blackops continued on from there and MW3, although I havent played it, looks like another MW2 continuation.

The graphics and gameplay are the same.

BF3 however offers so much over even just the previous game BFBC2.

Massive maps, jets, Dx11 graphics, awsome gameplay etc etc etc....

In my eyes, BF3 inovates, MW3, is just the same tired old game rehashed.

Saying that, its probably quite good.
 
they are both completely different games, mw3 is a run around blindly shooting at everything putting clips on to everything and not getting a kill. bf2/3 is about team work and not only infantry but vehicle warfare i know white id rather play :)

Because PC beats both lol.

I'll admit MW2 was awesome, Black Ops was terrible, but I'm hooked on BF3, at least until I get around to buying MW3
 
From What I have seen and played a bit of at a mates, MW3 is an expensive map pack. If you really liked everything about MW2 then you will like this just the same. Its nothing special and offers nothing different from what is already out there.

BF3 for me apart from some very fixable issues (connection stability, that scope and hopefully all the KD lovers leaving) is much better. Map size, weapons, graphics, sounds and vehicles all put it way ahead for me. People may argue that it isnt as good as BF2 (I disagree but then I put 2142 to the top of the list anyway) but for me (when it works) it is a worthy successor.

Its always going to be down to personal preference though.
 
Whats best is what you enjoy the most tbh, I hate how COD vs BF keeps raising its ugly little head, when in truth the games are completely different.

IMO BF is more team orientated, your always going to loose if you try go lone wolf, with huge maps, vehicles and set classes, relating its self closer to sim than arcade. While COD is more focused around smaller maps and suppressing the enemy, usually with some OTT but fun gimmicks thrown in, more arcade than sim.

All in all at the moment I'm enjoying MW3 more than BF3, that is to say I haven't had constant disconnects and spawning in an enemys line of sight. I'll go back to BF after xmas when hopefully the bugs have been ironed out.

I go lone wolf (well in a squad but ignore them) and can still come top of the round (rarely I must admit). I must say that it happens far less than on BC2 - Perhaps I am saying BF3 is more team orientated than BC2 but until I unlock some more stuff (starting weapons are crap) then I cannot fully comment.

Wait until you unlock the SCAR and ADS wipes out most of your FOV :D
 
I would say BF3 has better audio than MW3, much much more low level depth and detail to sounds, you notice every near miss, rounds whizzing overhead, etc. whereas MW3 audio is much more generic.

MW3 is far more fluid and fun to play IMO with far better "netcode", however it lacks the feel of being part of a bigger battlefield.
