im really tempted to get an 8800 gtx, however im worried that 2 months later after spending my 450 quid, a G100 comes out which is even better. it seems processor speeds double every 3 months and i simply dont have the £££ to keep up.........

i need something that will work for me for atleast a year of playing the latest games or i might aswell give up now........

Thats life m8, no matter what you buy there's always something better just around the corner. You could wait but then you'd be waiting forever :P

Regardless of what you choose, no matter what it is there WILL be something better/faster than it in 6 months atleast.
