Bicycle 0 - Me 1

I am a cyclist, commute every day to work.

People like this give us cyclists a bad name, no one should try and defend him. I shout a appalling cyclign quite often.

I was once hit by a cyclist who was on the wrong side of the road i looked in the ride direction, nothing coming, so i stepped off the traffic island i was on only to be hit have my leg and face scraped and told to watch out. Cyclists are subject to the highway code as well.
You should have let him call the police and let your witnesses tell them about him jumping the light.

He was obeying traffic signals and acting lawfully. This cannot be said for the cyclist. How can FF be in anyway at fault?

I'm sure FF did a risk analysis before making his decision. I would have done the same, but probably not kept my composure.

quite possibly because of his pre-meditated intentions knowing/hoping the cyclist wouldnt stop

i`m not defending the cyclist but in the eyes of the law FF could be in the wrong

anyways maybe the cyclist will think twice from now on when approaching a red light, allthough I doubt it

Not quite sure how you've come to that conclusion. As far as I'm aware, there's no law that says that you have to dive out of the way from dangerous cyclists.

Some people are just naturally funny!

That got me laughing a number of times!

Well done dude im proud of you!

would have died in fits of laughter if I actually saw it though without a doubt!!

So just because a lot of cyclists are idiots you have to act like one as well then post about it on the internet? You sure showed him!

Well he did show him really didn't he? considering he rode into a pedestrian and face planted.

Bravo, sounded like a right jumped up pillock who needed to be taken down a peg or two. If he is willing to ride into someone who is the size of the OP then I doubt he would mind hitting a child or OAP or someone like me on crutches.

I completely agree with you.

It really astounds me how people are so worried about saving those precious 30 seconds of pressing a button and waiting to cross the road in a sensible manner.

Better taking 30 seconds longer, than being hit with a car. That will take a bit more than 30 seconds out of your day.

I've found out walking through Liverpool, it just seems to be people are oblivious to what's around them rather than bothered about saving time. There's a set of lights that I know I can cross 6 seconds after it stops beeping if I walk briskly. Every few weeks there will be some people who stop when the green man has just gone out. Then they notice me walk past and assume it's safe without bothering to look and so follow me out into the road and the lights change whilst they are in the middle of the road. It just seems like some people are in a daze and just pay no attention to what goes on around them.

for the sheer fact FF premeditated his actions knowing there was a good chance the cyclist would'nt stop, thus causing an accident he knowingly could have avoided, where as the cyclist just took a risk and didnt purposely intend to hit a pedestrian

like I say its a possibility , certainly interesting

Kudos for standing up to a law dodging cyclists but youd have got extra man points doing it when you know youd have got hurt(yes thats extremely stupid, youd have got double points if it was a car).

It narks me when cars dont indicate also.

are you mad ? the light was on red. the cyclist is the one who should have stopped

did you want freefaller to just stand there and never cross the road ?

He could never be in the wrong in the eyes of the law. It was his right of way and he can walk as fast as he pleases.

If I did the same in my car he could be dead.

If I was in FF's shoes I would have ended up getting taken in for assault for smacking him in the face for hitting me tbh.

Quite clearly you have no concept of the highway code. I really hope you dont drive aswell.

LOL. I love how you chose to teach him a lesson at the cost of personal injury to you. Genuine lol.

5 Stars for effort/dedication.

no i`m not mad, why would I be mad?
I said its possible that FF could be in the wrong in a legal sense because of his intentions to purposely cause an accident
I didnt say it was a fact

morally the cyclist got what he deserved for giving the rest of us a bad rep :)

Should have walked over and put the idiot out of his misery. One less cyclist in the World means one less cretin to scratch alongside of the motor with no insurance!
