It's a good show, but I can't believe you've never heard anything bad about it. Johnny Galecki is a terrible actor, the show would be so much better without him.

I think he plays Leonard very well tbh.

Can't think of any thing else I've seen him in, so I'll reserve my judgement until then I guess.

Oh, just preorded it on DVD, Season 1 comes out tomorrow... 3 Disc Collection :D
 
It's definitely on my last to favourite tv shows. The geek humour is great. One of my favourites was the episode where Sherman tried to be a PUA :p

My current tv shows:
24, Battlestar Galactica, Family Guy, Heroes, Lost, Prison Break, Reaper, Scrubs, The Big Bang Theory and The Tudors.

I like the show, but with every sitcom out there, I feel that in this day and age there should be an option to have the canned laughter soundtrack on or off.
 
Is King of Queens actually any good? Heard mixed stuff about it, Two and A Half Men... that's pretty good though.

i love King of Queens i almost got the entire season on DVD in the states but was $200! :(

I picked up Friends S1-10 in Zavvi on the cheap recently to watch though, i have seen a good 95% of episodes already mind

King of Queens started before I moved to the UK (2002) and is awful.

2 and a Half Men started in 2003 to lose steam after season 2 imo.

HIMYM started end of 2005, so imo it and Big Bang are the best of the newer sitcoms.

Did you guys start watching mid-way through season 2?

Shows like these really need to be watched from the beginning to understand the characters and story-arcs.

HIMYM is not as funny if you just dive into, say, season 3 without knowing all the back history.
