i'm intrested in getting RockShox Revelation XX World Cup Dual Position Air 150mm Fork as i did't get the fox forks, they have a carbon steerer is that a problem? i mean getting them cut to size and will they be ok on an alu frame?

Why would it be a problem other than the price?...eek

I wanted a reverb but there's that many people on mtbr who are having reliability problems ive decided to stick with my command post for now.

They can be had pretty cheap from some US ebay sellers (£160)....all depends though if you get charged import or not.

That is why I posted the link above it works out at about £180. ;)

I ordered a Reverb from them and it needed warranty work out of the box to work and it was a pain and 3 week wait to return it and have it repaired (I decided a repaired one would be better than taking the risk of another DOA). Not that the fault with the post was caused by them but in hindsight I would rather have paid £247 and got it from a UK dealer for better support for warranty repairs.

Rock Shox refused to deal with the claim unless the post went back to the dealer and onto the German service center, the UK service centers will not repair it under warranty. It also doesn't help that insured return postage cost me just under £20 to Germany and it took a fight for a full refund of this.

I feel like a fanny with a sore knee...managed to clip a pedal going too fast through those gates you have to slow down to go through. Was good fun. Then a car decided to pull out right infront of me....decided it wasn't my night and took it easy and when I got to a junction which I can usually just keep going out of(I decided tonight I should stop) a car was flying up the road.

Someone wants me dead :(

I use an x-fusion hi-lo which has been faultless in the 4 months ive had it. cost me £100 quid from ebay.

There will always be dodgy ones the reverb is still new technology but I lots of people who have got reverbs from them over on Bike Radar with no problems.

...besides , the reverb is the sole reason Brendan rides like this, so I'll be whipping it out super-steeze like just this weekend on it's first voyage out :D

Supercow - Any reason you'd have the Down-O-Matic over the THE Point 5 I linked. I'd like a D3 but not at those price's. Plus I've never been invited to a CRC Private Sale! Would like my full face before my next trip!

Talking of Reverbs - I need a Telescopic Seat post adjuster thing: like this:
twosection.jpg.

Anyone - failing to find one on any well known bike websites. It's either that or a longer seat post, but my current post matches my saddle on the Intense :D

I just like the the fact that not many people have the down O'matic, it's super light and the field of vision is very very good - better than the D3.
It's also a bit odd looking and it's grown on me a lot - I now love the look of them

The flat bars look a bit 1990's to me, but if it works for you that's the important thing.

I ride a 2008 SX Trail with a few upgrades, Fox 36 Vans, SLX Cranks, Hope Mono 6ti's - It's my do everything bike from DH to 40+miles XC Rides.

Plus a 2010 Ragley Blue Pig - Fox 32 Talas, Hope M4's, Double crankset with E13 DRS, I wanted a hardtail for shorter rides in my local forest, but still wanted a slack head angle and a bit of reassurance if it gets a bit gnarly.
