I run a 30t chainring on both my bikes, fs.is 10sp with a 12-36 (couldn't find 11-36) and ht 11-34 on 9sp. I am at a constant level of unfitness and there's a lot of hills around here so need the weird front chainring. To be honest I never had a problem with the front derailleur on my old Enduro, but you tend to ride differently with less gears, I find I maintain more speed when pedalling now, change gears less and both bikes are pretty much silent.

My reverb didn't need cutting weirdly enough, possibly the way I've routed it or how long the Tracer 2 frame is?

It will most likely need a rebleed though, but bleeding them be very straight forward.

Ah, that's the other big positive, single chainguide meaning it's a nice and silent ride!

That mondraker needs to be killed with fire and bug spray.
Nice looking M9 though - but I'll never ride that kind of colour, I'll get bored of it too quickly.

Love the ENVE wheelset!

Just a few snaps from the Balblair black on Monday. It was freezing, so not many photos. These were taken at the top of the trail, just starting the descent:

Sorry, a rather poor shot of my bike:

All in all a great ride, despite some rather tricky frozen rock sections. My mate (on his Lappierre Zesty 314) struggled on his Continental mountain Kings. They had almost zero grip on the rocks where my High Rollers (2.35 60a compound) were much more forgiving :)

Damn you RX. Any spare rooms at yours for a lodger? :D looks lovely up here,no snowfor is this year just lots of rain :(

Lovely looking new Intense that.

Aye, Granton got a big thumbs up from a group I ride with (never made it to Granton on that trip though)
There is an excellent skills park with decent jumps, tabletops, north shore and rock features etc

Hey guys,

thought I'd post here instead of making a new thread. I'm fed up of this weather and not being able to ride my road bike properly. Have decided to try and get back on a mountain bike. Rode a downhill bike a few years ago, but I'd like something more xc than downhill this time. Anything you guys could recommend for around £600 second hand?

So in the end I decided I wanted something all mountain, that could potentially support a visit to Europe at some point. Spent more than I wanted but have ended up with a 2010 Giant Reign x2 as below; picking it up at the weekend, can't wait! :D:cool:
