Misread, do the type two mechs lock out while riding i.e can you change gear with the cage locked? or just to remove the rear wheel? Nice colour!
Cheers! I would have preferred the blue of the 2012 bikes, but couldn't find one in medium.

I think the lock out is only for wheel removal. The lock is quite basic, you move the cage forward and then push the lock pin out, which stops the cage moving back. In normal operation the clutch stops the lower part of the mech from flapping forwards.

Not used to SRAM stuff, I keep trying to use my index finger to shift up!

This got recommended to me when I was looking.

I ended up going second hand (thanks to Hedge) and got a full sus Specialized for £600!

Was looking at one of those. It seems to be between that or the Voodoo Hoodoo for me at the moment. Voodoo is currently £100 cheaper. I've not really got much idea on bike specs; do you think the Voodoo for its price is a good option or would the extra £100 be noticeable on the rockrider?

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and thought I'd share a couple pics of my current steed.
For anyone that's interested, it's a Chumba F5.

From what I remember the components on the Rockrider are unbeatable for the price.

But the frame isn't as good as say the Voodoo Hoodoo would be.

Have you considered second hand? Check pinkbikes, many bargains to be had!

Can someone please help me with this; I have a remote lock out for my forks and a control for my dropper post. In order to minimise space, someone told me you can buy double clamps for the brakes/shifters that you can clamp the remote lockout/controller on to. Does anyone know if this is true? I can't seem to find these double clamps anywhere.

SRAM Matchmaker, or Shimano I Spec.

Awesome Rob thanks very much :)

My bike is in the shop getting the lock out on my forks sorted and they've fitted me some matchmaker clamps (maybe not OEM Sram) for £15. Pretty happy, can't wait to get it back.

Looking at some X-Fusion Vengeance forks now but they seem quite hard to get hold of?

My work's Cycle to Work Scheme is back! YAY!

Here's my situation, used to commute to work on a hybrid Raleigh, cycled rain, sun and snow on a 6mile return journey (nearly completely flat, Hull).

Since the bike got knicked last year, I've been eyeing on a road bike as I've moved to Pontefract, nice Yorkshire hilly roads for cycling!

What should I look out for for looking to get a road bike? My cycle to work scheme allows me to go up to £1000 inc accessories BUT I want to work on a budget of £500-£600 bike only.

Any suggestions? Where I live, there's an Evans cycle shop - been looking around and these stands out...

1) Fuji Sportif 1.5 Compact 2013 £600
2) Specialized Allez Compact 2013 £550
3) Pinnacle Dolomite 2 2013 £550 (+ free £100 worth of accessories)
4) Pinnacle Dolomite 1 2013 £450 (+ free £50 worth of accessories)

Does Carbon fork REALLY make a difference? Bearing in mind, this is me coming from a heavy-ish hybrid with MTB tyres. I am looking for a bike to go fast. Commute on weekdays, go enjoy the roads on weekends.

Additional info if it makes a difference; I'm 174cm.

Does such a thing exist?

A long sleeve t-shirt but with a little padding in the elbows? Thought it would be quite a common thing, but it seems not.

Maybe I just need to be less gay. :(
