I've just started MTB and being a tight sod went out and bought a Proflex for next to nothing(girvin shocks etc) I was quite surprise to find that it was a lot lighter than my mate 2005 Specialized.(even if it duz look a million years newer lol)

Not a bad bike that :). My next bikes probably going to be an Intense Socom since the Demo 9's disappeared :D. Where were those photos taken? seems familiar...

thats a place near me.. its locally known as 'the markland grips' but i dunno if thats the real name. i live between nottingham and sheffield, about 5 miles from junction 30 on the m1 btw :)

Yeh, never been there, I guess they all kinda look like that :)

this is the top section of the run where the picture's of my haro were taken.. its pretty short, only maybe 45-60 seconds to bottom but its damn steep and rocky with a sharp bend half way down and a tree sticking out

Maybe, the Socom seems to look pretty good though :)

Very true, I usually ride at places like Hornton hill and Porc and sometimes even Aston Hill, they all look the same though :).

True it has travel a plenty. Shame about the 9 though, it could rollover just about anything. I'd get a Karpiel Armageddon if I won the lottery or something :p
 
Yeh, I've come across a BMW before ;), but It looks like it has an I-drive or something, which is far too technical for the likes of me if it goes screwy on a trail :D.
