They are abit crazy in Manchester, letting me test ride a £2000+ road bike in the center of Manchester with all the crazy taxi drivers and that, I nearly got knocked off once!!

I still need to film my commute sometime, something like this but not quite as kamikaze.

I purchased my Specialized Tricross 2009 Single Speed Cyclo Cross Bike around three weeks ago now. First "proper" bike and really enjoy riding it.

Thoughts?

Yeah it's mainly used for commuting. I'm really starting to enjoy riding it on the cycle paths, so smooth. Just out of curiosity does anybody own one of these Tricross models?

I just got a 2007 Specialized Enduro SL Expert in brown/bronze with a few upgrades, it has the 2008 cartridges in the e150 fork for a start (rather an essential upgrade as a lot of the '07s had problems), some Hayes Stroker carbon brakes, Race Face downhill bars, Hope Pro 2 rear hub and an e-13 DRS Dual Chain Guide with bash guard, all for £750 and it's mint condition A 'bit' of a bargain!

Just spend the past few days buying a variety of accessories including a Met Kaos helmet, Fox sidewinder gloves, as well as a Topeak shock pump, some pedals and some tools/grease/lube.

I'm all set now Feels so good to have a bike again, I'll get pics up soon

I'd go clipless anyway; I use double sided SPDs and MTB shoes on my roadie for commuting. I've got some LOOK SPD-SLs for weekend jaunts.

edit: Yes 6th, I realise we have the bikes wrong way around, we just built up my mate's bike and were amped to go riding, so all rational thought went out the window

edit 2 The headangles look a tad steep for a DH bike, but keep in mind that the bike is run at a recommended 40% (!!) sag (2:1 leverage ratio) and slackens out a helluva lot with me on top of it

Have posted before, but have chopped and flipped the bars, flipped the wheel to fixed, and swapped to a nice new Campag front brake. Been riding fixed for a few weeks now and loving it.

A medium Alu Expert = 29.8lbs
A large Carbon Pro = 29.2lbs
