Yep, Stelvios are recommended to run at 100-120psi but they feel so much more comfortable at much less than that, which is why I was asking/curious as to what psi you lot were running at ( roadies that is, far too many MTB'ers in here/Far too little roadies ). ;) :p

I'm a true fair weather MTB'er and am a roadie when the weather gets bad ;)

I run 100 front and 110 rear. I once had them down to around 60-70 psi and it just felt so slow. I also found carbon bits help making the bike more comfortable asumming you are not already running a carbon bike.

Time for some new pics:

Thinking about getting a set of Shivers off Ebay for my Stinky, fixed the creaking on it, had to buy a new Crank Set. Got the Race Face Downhill one, rides sooooo much cleaner. Anyone for any ideas about the Shiver suspension though or others? I wanna get second hand ones because they are really expensive for Triple Clamp suspension, maybe Boxxers?

I think they might be a bit long and heavy for a stinky. Some nice 66/888 or boxxers would be my choice.

Anyway, ive just picked up some brand new 08 Mavic Crossride Disc wheels for £75 end of season sale at my LBS, anyone on here with personal experience before i slap them on my bike.
I've been running them for 2 years on my Specialized FSR XC bike. They are decent wheels, look great and are quite strong. I used the rear on my Enduro SL for 6 months covering Welsh Trail Centres and some light DH riding and it never missed a beat.

Awsome, thats exactly what i was wanting to hear, now i can get rid of the crappy Commencal branded ones im using, weak as butter lol.

So anyone entered in the Manx End2End this year?

1000 people taking part this year, should be good fun. I may be a little too optimistic here, but I'm hoping to complete it in under four hours.

I run at 100-110 psi. Used to be about 70-80(due to rubbish pump) but i kept getting pinch flats. I am pretty heavy tho so my tyres take a fair pounding, especially on fast downhills.

My bike collection after a quick clean today:

Mountain Bike, did the Marin trail with it yesterday, good fun but lacking in confidence after spending far too much time on my road bike this year :o

Road Bike, Did 180 miles last weekend from Cardiff to Caernarfon over 2 days, great fun and so comfy over long distances

It seems I'm being slowly converted from a mountain biker to a roadie by friends!
