A nice collection of Specialized bikes there :)
I nearly bought a Roubaix earlier this year but decided to stick with my XC bike for the road.

Thanks :)

Go for the Roubaix, you won't look back. (Actually you will at the mountain bikers you just passed ;))

couple of questions

what are peoples opinions on the co2 pumps?

can anyone reccomend a budget chain oil?

Never used a co2 pump but Lidl currently have a co2 sealent spray for under £3. It weighs less than an inner tube so i'm going to start carrying that instead of a spare tube when i'm out.

As to lubes. I use this Park Tool lube. It's quite thin so needs re-aplying often but it's very clean

Budget Lube: This will work all year round. get the 60ml for £3.75. Free postage. Should last for ages

thanks for this.

how often would i need to lube everything? my bike gets quite muddy so i wash it often, will it need re-applying after every wash or does it last a few?

If you wash it with any sort of detergent a good routine is to swill the drive chain with clean water, then spin the chain (turn bike upsdie down is best) to flail ff most of teh water, then when spinng give it a quick blast with WD40 to drive out most of the water. Leave 30mins or so then re-lube- take ab extra 1min and lube each roller on the chain rather than running the lube along the whole thing in one go- makes a difference.

I re-lube my chain roughly every 5 rides in summer. In the winter every ride, or every other if it's too cold to wash it after a ride! but definately re-lube if you've washed the chain- just remember that if the chain is still soaking wet it'll probably still rust a bit- the WD40 method works well- in the summer or wind just leave to dry for an hour before re-lubing

Anyone watching the WC? This track is a bit of a bitch. Few near misses. Mitch Delfs just ruined his chances of having kids :o

Sam Hill 3rd place but still leading the overall ; going into Schladming he should take the WCup with a win.

One of the early riders had a monster crash onto the rocks, he looked okay on some of the footage later though.
Hopefully Matti Lehikoinen isn't badly hurt also.

Some of you lot in here make me cry! Im shocked at the knowledge when it comes to gear. Do you spend all your time reading mbr or something?

On a side note, went out and did my 20 mile ride round reading this morning. It still taking me ages! 1 hour 40! lol. Its a mix of briddle ways and roads, and I had to laugh when a roadie burned past me round tilehurst! lol
