His old bike is call the handjob :p

anyway, Breamy, your fox float has a lock out yeah? Does that make the bike feel like a HT totally or does it still have a little "give"?

it doesnt have lock out it has "pro pedal" which has 3 settings stiff, medium and plush. it doesnt feel like a hardtail but its very efficient. what shock does yours have?

Mine is the Fox Float R, has 8 settings, just twist it to adjust rebound from slow to quick. It'll be good to get a lock out, then'll be like a HT when i want it to be.

EDIT - what do you mean by stiffer ? I've never owned a HT so i can't compared but enlighten me how a FS is stiffer than a HT.

Ah, that's always why it is lighter as well then. I am suprise how light mine is, even without any carbon parts I can stil pick it up with 1 finger.

I also notice yours is a hugeeeee frame, just look at mine's water bottle cage with the "lack of" room and compared to yours. Is it a 22" frame?

16", just right. I am getting used to it still, the mounting part is tricky as my legs aren't that long, once i am on it my toes/front of my feet can touch the ground so may be i can raise it a tiny bit more.

5'7 and a half on bare feet. 30 inch inside legs. So i am tiny compared to you :p

Let us know how it handles DH and XC, I can't take mine out for another 2 weeks at least with the stuff going on at the moment.

the x-os are so nice compared to x-9 and i thort they were good. the non loss cable system on the x-0 means that as soon as you click the mech engages its lovely

Some pics of the bike this morning, recently new pedals and a computer have gone on her.

More to come...

They're ok, quick and crisp in shifting. I'll probably stick it out with them until the next big upgrade. They were a bit weird getting used to them at first, braking hard and changing down a gear required some funky movements of my hands :p

Neil.
