Glad I'm not alone... Just took it to my LBS, new place that I'd not been to before. Really nice chap sorted it fully for me.
Turns out Leisure Lakes in Daventry made a real balls-up of my new build. The front gear cable was freyed, the front mech was too high, they'd removed the front mech cage bolt to fit the mech without removing the chain, then forgotten to put the bolt back in, and the rear cassette was loose (they'd obviously taken it off to clean it and only put it back on hand tight).
I tried to watch what he was doing to see if I could pick anything up but he was too fast! Having said that, he charged me a fiver for the lot, including cleaning and re-lubing the chain, so I'll happily go back there again.

I think my shock was seriously due a proper fettle up, the small bump sensitivity is greatly improved now, much more plush overall.
), I'm going to be majorly stoked to get some good summer riding in after then! May be getting a new set of tires too, 2.35 dtc nevegal front and rear excavator 2.1.
