I also thought I'd like wide bars on the BMX, what with using 710mm bars on the MTB. Can't stand them though, 26.5" Proper with 8" rise on my bike. Not that I can ride BMX anymore after the last injury, game over for me.

Grudas, are you going to RomJam on the 20th?

what happened? i ride trials a lot lately.. its a bit different to skate parks but also a lot of fun... been there 3 times.. already managed to fall down bad.. getting a lid finally :O and will take my knee pads from now on :) just to keep the head safe lol.

about romjam.. nah no plans for it really :) will post some pics of my bike later.. won't be wasting anymore on my felt.. will be getting a new complete or custom build once i save up enough for it

Randomly pricing up wheels this afternoon after I'd finished truing my very wobbly rear wheel from my big bike, I noticed just how damn cheap the Deemax are from CRC. They're about 200 quid cheaper than over here. I wish CRC had Hadley hubs, but the other set I priced up in comparison was Sun Abbah Lawwill's on 823's.

I decided to get them anyways, to console myself ( was told I have a new job, only to b told a week later that I no longer have it)

Buying these today for £525 inc. I can buy 2 pairs an post one off to you if it works out even cheaper, the 135 version is £500

No worries, I'm not sure if I'll need new wheels yet but the rear took a lot to get it true again, so not sure how much abuse it will stand up to.

I call bs, unless you are referring to the XC route, then maybe ;)

XC route :) beat them down is a harsh word, When I had my Enduro, I was a lot faster tbh. however I can still keep up. People have said to me 'how do you ride it so fast down hill? I answer "I pretend im on my Enduro" lol

Just abit more painfull on my legs.

Emergency fire road exits don't count.

:p

Dislocated left ankle, snapped fibula, broken tibia, pinned and plated. Did the right 4 years ago. Worried about what happens if I do it again. Still a way to go before I get back on a bike again yet, proper physio starts this week. Will see the consultant next week and ask some questions again. Don't really want to give up but don't want to do some irreparable damage either.

The 355's are being replaced with the crest and the american classic wheels are excellent and good value to! You can buy direct from the UK dealer eurobike

I thought the 355's replacement was the alpine with crest replacing the olympics?

Have you had much experience with them?

Im leaning towards the american classics atm. Stans seem a bit hit and miss on being reliable, im not plumping for such a wheelset unless i'll know it'll be reliable, within reason of course. ;)

Ive got Stans rims on my AM bike and they are holding up very nicely. Done a bi of DH with it as well and I'm not a light rider ( 80 Kilograms )

I've been riding my Arch 29er wheels hard now for 18 months, no problems apart from a bent spoke I had to replace after a stick made it into my spokes.

A tough choice indeed, both light both capable.

Im leaning towards pro 3 on stans should i fancy going tubeless, very easy and painless with the stans rims no doubt.

Last time i checked i was just over 80kg so should be fine if sensible.

Speaking of which - the Mbuzi had a wee bit of a spec change since the last time I posted
