Love this : Specialized Days - http://www.pinkbike.com/news/specialized-days-2010.html

All the attention was on Sam Hill, who along with Matt Hunter decided to make the road course in the morning and leave the Bike Park lines for the afternoon. The interesting thing was to see Sam Hill, dressed in his baggy green Troy Lee DH shorts, his Fiveten’s and flat pedals, riding on a road bike and completing the 120km of the road track.

Just finished my longest cycle to date, slowly increasing the distance and speed! Absolutely knackered. Also first time using Endomondo and it's great! Distance and max speed etc are almost identical to my cycle computer (which probably isn't completely accurate anyway) so very impressed.

Distance: 38.67 mi
Duration: 2h:36m:00s
Avg Speed: 14.9 mph
Max Speed: 39.5 mph
Altitude: 0 ft / 385 ft

Guys got my boardman ht pro, and need to change the pads really, the bike runs avid elixir r brakes, so what pads do I need to get, would like high performance over long life ideally.

Also is there anywhere with a bargain inner tubes at the moment as I seem to be all out of spares currently. (26x2.1") and I wouldnt mind buying a bulk pack.

Thanks.

Giro Hex - Nice helmet, have you had one on your head? Worth testing clothing before you buy.

Also, is your commute a long one? Can't be too far on Guernsey surely!

If you're not tight on cash, that looks a fine basket.

Thanks for the opinion dude, I haven't had a chance to try the helmet out yet but will try and find somewhere locally which stock them.

My commute isn't too long at all, just a shade over 2.5 miles, unforunatley the last 3/4 of a mile is up hill which I'm not looking forward too given my weight and fitness level.

Cash isn't too tight but I am always looking to get value for money, which I believe I would be getting with the BIKE I've chosen, would you agree?

anyone got any recommendations for a lock? less than £25.. :O need one for my bmx.. should cover both wheels and bars.. :/ can't find anything which looks STRONG.. will be locked for 3-5hrs during the day in front of the college..

After a day of studying, I decided to drop the books and get the bike on the stand.
Had been putting off setting up the front mech for about 2 months... It's been about an hour of misery and it's still not right. Can't beat relative n00bs fettling with gearing.
The rear mech was easy! Front... *Insert Sad Panda*

Hoping to bike to work tomorrow, saves urinating a ton of fuel on a small commute. :)

Edit: Almost there.
A bit of jumping on the chain in some gears (when actually riding, not on the stand) Not so sure the rear is perfectly set-up...

Just before I hit the buy button on the Ridgeback another bike has popped up, which would you recommend for commuting and 20+ mile road rides?

My gut instinct is saying the Ridgeback as it's cheaper and seemingly has better components for a road ride, and IMO looks better.

Check the road bike thread ... this thread is about big bikes only! :D

Me doing some XC trails with my dog on Sunday.
This was a short little edit taken at the end of the day when he was pooped. Gonna get another one done next time showing him and me hitting a few tables together :)

I go to Swinley fairly often, but don't recognise that trail? Possibly because I can't take my eyes of your dog and his k9supergrips!

Can someone help me I have lost one of the wheel nuts on my wifes Kona Lisa seems to be the same wheel as my Kula or very close, can I get a nut seperatly or do I have to buy the whole thing.

Maybe a good excuse to move over to Quick Release.
it is quick release not sure what make, I have the springs and other stuff, just seems that the nut has come off, I have looked everywhere for it.
Oh and I should have made it clear I dont want any old nut, want the same type as what is on it.
