Should have it in running order by next weekend. But that will be with a temporary stem, bars and seatpost. Once I decide on length it will probably be a Thomson X4, the bars I want are out of stock until January then I still want to get the right size Ti seatpost.

That's a straight bar in the pic? Is it the angle the pic was taken from that makes it look like a riser then, or just a crazy back-sweep?

Yep its a straight bar. Its the combination of the wide angle lens and the angle I took the picture that makes it look like that :o

My Giant MTB was stolen from my office a month or so ago, no insurance coverage either :(

I cycle about 6 miles each way to work and about 30-50 miles at the weekend. I went with my girlfriend to buy her a new bike and bought this one on a whym! Its massively heavy but super comfortable and I can put my shopping on it.

(stock photos as its too cold to mess around with cameras atm)

I am building a fixed gear racing bike at the moment also. It is based on a 1970's Jack Hearne 531 Reynolds tubed track frame, I recently had it painted by Armourtex and I will post some pics when I have added some wheels, crank etc

I am still pondering which one to take on the London to Brighton ride next summer :S

dude.

I apologise, I thought the title meant it was all encompassing of bikes, i.e. a BIG thread, rather than bikes for mud.

I think it was originally, then all the spandex wearers got scared off by our big muddy manly testosterone and made their own thread to talk about fixies and playing synth.

Posted this in the other thread too, but just in case anyone in here knows about them. I saw a bike with some small rubbery stretchy clip-on LED lights. Looked like the rubbery body stretched round the seatpost and hooked onto itself, with a large single LED. Looked ideal for putting round the seatpost, rear upright, or attaching to a helmet. Anyone got any suggestions what they might have been and where to get them? The ones in Evans aren't the same as what I saw.

Where would you suggest the best place is to buy a decent bike. Wanting some good for trails and down hill. Budget is £200-300.
Obv i won't be buying it till the snow clears lol, but im just trying to get an idea of what and where's best.
