I just presumed it was as, from what I can see its the same hubs as on the Hardrock Disc - http://www.specializedconceptstore.co.uk/Detail/9/hardrock/2011 HARDROCK

They could just be talking about the frame tho :o

How can I tell if they are compatible ?

That'll be no then... typical

Edit: recommendations if you you don't mind... I am fine with spending money but I have no experience here so don't want to get anything crap :(

oh ****... I (read LBS) thought I could just replace the hubs on the original wheels with something like these - http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=3986

What a royal PITA :(

Trust me not to just go for the disc version in the first place

You could just change the hubs to disc hubs but that would involve paying the LBS to rebuild the wheel onto them. Depends on how much you want to spend to be honest.

I think you would need different length spokes too due to the difference in the flange width.

Right guys, I've decided by Cube Analog Disc 2009 isn't going to cut it for my mountain biking ambitions this year. I'm aiming to get serious and get out to a trail at least once a fortnight once I've bought a new bike. I'm dead set on an 'All Mountain' full suspension bike. Got a budget of 2k max but if there's something excellent out there for less great. I'd really like a light bike but beyond that I don't really know what to be looking for.

I've seen the Trek Fuel Ex7 which has rave reviews but looks a little under specced for the money?

The Cube Stereo Pro looks pretty good.

Also seen the Focus First Expert.

I'm open to suggestions really as I don't really know much about mountain bikes. So I guess the question is you guys had a budget of 2k for an AM Full Sus what would you go for? :)

If I wanted an ' All Mountain' bike, I wouldn't be looking at 120mm trail bikes for a start. And that Focus nut cracker should be banned!

Ermmm, just to make sure I'm not confusing myself..... I presumed an 'All Mountain' bike was suitable for cross country, trails, climbing etc, just not extreme jumps\steep downhill sections etc. Am I messing that up?

My Cube Analog has an 80mm fork IIRC and I've seen bikes with forks up to 150mm. What should I be considering for general use? (I do intend to hit places like Glentress etc and I often go to Chopwell Woods\Hamsterley Forest in NE England).

Focus nut cracker?!

It can do everything, from XC climbs to the toughest of DH courses. Bikes likes the Orange Five, Santa Cruz Heckler/Nomad etc are all mountain's.
