SDK - that will be it then

June 10th, need the snow to stop so I can train more. Another 6" forecast for tomorrow :/

£260 from actionsport.de is even better
Yeah you can ditch the big ring if you want.
Quick question,
Disc brake calipers are the front and rears the same ?
Seen some cheap brakes but only front ones available, So I assume I can just flip the levers and get longer hoses and run a pair on the rear ?
Brakes in question are Avid Code 5 for £59
Lots IIRC, Customs Duty then VAT on top. 14% Duty and 20% VAT I think (might be wrong..) but that'll be £736 on top of the £2k.
Save your money and buy descent set of brakes!

They are perfectly decent brakes. A pal is away to buy a pair for £100 new.![]()
I don't think that's accurate.
My brother in law got his new bike from the states and it didn't cost him all that much. I'll ask him how much he had to pay on top.
They are also big mountain brakes a bit overkill for an xc bike.
Surely if you can get them at this price then they should last a long time as they won't be working as hard as lesser brakes ??
Or am I thinking this all wrong ?? LOL

Wait what?!
Avid Code 5 brakes not good brakes?! Don't listen to Ichabold - he uses Hope brakes so clearly has no idea what he's talking about!
Code 5's are very very powerful and a bit heavy, so I agree on the overkill statement but they certainly aren't anything less than very very decent!

I bet you don't use codes on your bike![]()
