Im actually considering white powder coat with orange headset, leads and grips etc. at the moment its in raw, its an earlier run that the orange green ones, think the frame is identical just the colour and stickers differ, also found some on one stickers on ebay so that should finish it off nicely

Can anyone recommend a decent All Mountain helmet? I currently have a Giro Indicator but after my epic crash last week I don't think it's really fit for use.
I really like the look of the 661 Recon?

I use a Giro Xen, your best just going tyring a load on, no point getting one just because sombody else has one.

Should only need minor tweaks it was from TFTuned wasnt it, so it will be set well for the frame and rider weight for the style of riding.

Nah, regardless of where you bought it and the tune the CCDB will take some time to set-up correctly.
They might be able to set some base settings for VPP suspension etc, but not all VPP is equal as it depends so much on the rest of the bike setup/geo etc.

Take the Intense 951 for example. The suspension on the 951 is for all intent and purposes terrible. It's extremely progressive in the leverage curve and riders don't get the full amount of travel most of the time. This is not the case for another VPP bike like the V10.

Regardless of what settings the shock is set to, it feels fantastic (the damping etc) but it might react in a way you don’t want it to in a given situation, and that’s where rider knowledge comes in to play.

The tune-ability of the CCDB is what makes it one of the best shocks out there, but the rider needs to know what he/she likes otherwise you might just totally screw up your ride – luckily Snott knows exactly what he likes/dislikes!

is the Pure Racing KS i900 any good? not bothered about having handlebar remote for it, just the lever under the saddle will do for me

its expensive enough though, dont want to buy one if its a POS

Not used the 900, but my 950 seems good. You will want the remote though, trust me ;)

Not that I've noticed. Can stop it wherever you like.

I bought one without a remote first, then quickly realised how much better it'd be with a lever. It makes it so much easier to use not having to fiddle around under your saddle, I'd say its almost impossible to do without either stopping or riding slowly on a gentle bit, which kind of ruins the point IMO, you want to be able to adjust it quickly on the fly without changing your riding.

new bars time me thinks!

What do people recommend bar's wise?

Easton? Ritchey?

Also not madly fussed for carbon bars but if in budget then fine. £80 ish budget

no slop or anything then ?

can you set it at any height you want or is it just full up or full down?

dont want the remote because dont want handlebar clutter + more cables!

I've had both the 900 and 950 (different bikes)

Both have been much the same for me. The main difference as far as I know is that the 900 has more of a layback than the 950 and I've been told the remote cannot be retro fitted to the 900, whereas it can to the 950.

You should get one with the remote if you can because a video I posted a few pages back will show you why.............. :D

True.
The CCDB comes with 6 pages of instructions and explanations of how the shock works. Even with a base knowledge of how shocks in general work and how I like them to work, there is still a degree of head scatching before it get's dialled. TFTuned are very good taking time to explain everything you would want to know about suspension, so I have that knowledge to fall back on if my own tweaking ends in epic failz!

Just got my nobby nics today....I'm tempted to run them tubeless with some stans on my 823 rims.

Has anyone had success in running non UST tyres on ust rims ?...or is it not worth the hassle with leaks .etc and just to bang some tubes in?

I ran a Mountain King Supersonic tubeless on UST. It took a lot of work to seat the tyre and sealant was coming out the pouress sidewalls. But it was stupidly quick! :D I haven't tried the non UST NN's, but if you do make sure you run a higher PSI than you normally would as there won't be the side wall support of an inner tube.

Give it a try I say! :D

Look what's just come! :D

Perfect sized frame for me, so the gamble paid off. A few days late and one of the pedals is slightly scratched due to transport, but nothing to complain about. I could have even got away with a medium frame.

A very light frame, suspension and discs feel good. The tread on the tyres slightly concerns me that they'll get punctured rather easily.

Decathlon have even thrown on some lights and a bell for me. Think I'll have to take off the reflectors and that headlight on the front though as it's huge!

Now I just need to invest in some new pedals (thinking flat DMRs or something) and a bash-guard - any thoughts on the colour?

The photo doesn't really do the bike much justice, it really does look much nicer in person. I'll let you know how it rides soon enough. :)
